Edo Edi Essum expands into unclaimed heathan lands.

The Holy Empire of Edo Edi Essum deployed approximately .5 million soldiers to occupy the heathen lands currently known only as 'Plot 1.' Due to the overwhelming military supremacy of Edo Edi Essum, resistance was minimal. (504 heathens are estimated to have been killed; 5 EEE soldiers bravely sacrificed their lives for noble expansion.) Proper government; based on the EEE ideals of Catholicism, communism, and technocracy; will be quickly implemented. The annexed territory will formally join the Holy Empire in 11 months, the predicted time necessary for basic integration.

The heathens are very familiar with perpetual tribal warfare. Therefore, they do not react in a surprised matter when their insignificant tribal governments are overwhelmed. Our government, in a single week, has established its dominance over the thousands of tribes, whose knowledge of guns is very limited. (The heathen death toll has been raised to 10,556.)

Soldiers keep order in the annexed territory. The EEE military has destroyed thousands of false idols across the country. Missionaries and linguists are scattered across the land, respectively spreading the faith and communism or recording the natives' less well known languages. The linguists double as translators, an invaluable asset. 10,000 missionaries and 10,000 linguists have been sent.

Approximately .6 million skilled workers have been transported to the territory to build churches, schools, hospitals, communal habitations, military bases, and other edifices. The EEE government has devoted 9T USD to rapid development in the Southern lands. Both unskilled and skilled labor are plentiful. Millions of tons of food and other materials are being shipped to the area. Oil drilling will be operational ASAP.

Full communism will be implemented in one month.

The Holy Empire of Edo Edi Essum has recently annexed the area historically known as 'Plot 1.' The land is completely undeveloped. Edo Edi Essum will build approximately one thousand new major habitations, along with hundreds of schools, power plants, roads, military bases, churches, hospitals, industrial facilities, and other buildings to transform the land into a civilized society. The 8-year plan is within our budget.

(Cost estimates have been slashed after an epiphany regarding the annex's geography. With the exception of the western coast and the NW, the annex is desert. Development will focus on these arable, milder areas. Large settlements will also be built around the many oil fields in the annex.)

When fully developed in 8 years, the EEE economy is expected to double. Edo Edi Essum plans to expand traditional industries in the homeland, urbanize the annex's coastal areas and northwest, and produce 80% of Terragon's oil. As EEE consumes almost no petroleum, the oil will be exported to foreigners who value the product.

The heathens often considered our soldiers deities upon meeting, due to our military's ability to immediately kill. A large fraction, therefore, have been surprisingly willing to convert. Hundreds of local religious leaders were disappeared in order to hasten total regional conversion. (The disappearances of a few thousand is the lesser evil, compared to allowing the populace to suffer in extreme poverty and heresy.)

The destitute heathens were very willing to adopt communism. They work hard and often die in droves due to famine and plague. Our equitable government's guarantee of quality food, shelter, education, and medical care has achieved rapid popular approval.

The heathens receive food in quantities and regularity they previously could not have fathomed. Modern habitations are being built currently; they will be ready in two months. Their children, the first in the region, will attend free and mandatory public education. Mass vaccination, basic medical care, and more intensive medicine are provided freely to the ubiquitous needy.

None of this would be possible without the sage foresight of our technocrats. Ten years in advance, unusually great mass education programs were instituted for workers in construction, medicine, theology, linguistics, education, and engineering. All production was increased in order to create a surplus for proper annexation.

Conversion to Catholicism is occurring at an incredible rate. Communism's borders are expanding. Civilization is being brought to the extreme poor. Thousands of lives and millions of souls have been saved. The annex's oil will strengthen our great nation. Progress could not be more satisfying.

The EEE annexation should be studied in three separate areas: the North, the great desert, and the South. Their levels of success vary enormously.

The annex's north has truly embraced Edo Edi Essum's culture. Almost 80% of the northern population has enthusiastically embraced Catholic baptism; conversion to the true faith and communism could not be happening more quickly. These people lived in abject poverty. Life spans were very short; education was unheard of. The plentiful food, unrivaled public services, and free education for the young are truly a godsend for the ex-heathens.

Infrastructure and quality of life are skyrocketing in the North. A new term has been introduced to describe the extremely rapid creation of buildings of all kinds: hyperconstruction. Edo Edi Essum is actually so popular that EEE flags are known to be proudly incorporated into clothing.

EEE colonists learn their locale's native idiom; the natives are slowly learning Edesu. The children are being educated. Soon every youth will be fluent in Edesu. The North has become a united mixture of Edesu colonists and natives.

The vast majority of the annex is, traditionally, almost uninhabited. The central desert has only one asset: oil. Hyperconstructioned (built in far less time with double the standard amount of workers) oil drilling equipment and refineries are being constructed near the large oil fields. These new settlements have all their food, water, and materials imported. However, the oil will pay for the entire operation many times over.

The South is by far the most problematic area in the annex. A warlord ruled the area with an iron fist. Over 90% of the Edesu military in the annex is stationed in the South. Over the last two months, the EEE army and air force engaged in a constant struggle for the area. Although EEE has triumphed, the populace is very reluctant to convert.

After 5 [RP] months of colonization, Supreme Holy Technocrat Roberto VI proudly announced today the official integration of the Edesu annex (with the exception of the rebellious South). Edo Edi Essum's popularity (outside of the South) is extraordinarily high in the annex; the natives have truly embraced both communism and Roman Catholicism.

The Oil Ministry reported that construction of oil drilling and processing facilities remains on schedule. [They will be fully operational in RL Christmas.]

The Southern region of the annex has reluctantly accepted Edesu domination. Devotion to communism or the Catholic faith is minimal in the South. 2,042 heathen deaths were reported in the North while 21,331 heathen deaths have been registered in the South. Tragically, 411 Edesu soldiers bravely sacrificed their lives for the glory of Edo Edi Essum.

As no nations have shown any historical interest in the territory, the large, unclaimed island west of Edo Edi Essum has been claimed for the Holy Empire. Edesu allies (Serliaq, KingIsaac, NX401, and Hijjma) are welcome to colonize the island with Edo Edi Essum.

The Edesu 7th Fleet has surrounded the island. 10,000 Edesu colonists, 100 barges of supplies, 1,000 soldiers, and 100 Jesuit missionaries have founded a small city at the mouth of the River in the island's west. The land is fertile; the newly created harbor is deep, an ideal location.

EEE will not contest any claims by Isis Rakael. However, Edo Edi Essum today formally claims Plot 41 in order to gain access to the precious marble. [It goes so nicely in cathedrals, yet our homeland has little of it.] Any Edesu rights to the chrome within the river are formally ceded to Isis Rakael.

Another 10,000 colonists, 5,000 soldiers, and 500 barges of supplies have been transported to the Edesu settlement, Sankta Vak. Construction of the city, the marble mine in the northern mountains, and farms to feed the settlers began immediately.

We need a new formula for army calculations. The old one completely ignores size of government. Allow me to explain.

For the sake of parity, nation A and nation B will have equal populations and economies. A is communist with a 100% income tax. B is very capitalist with a 10% income tax. Let's say that A devotes 5% of government spending to the military, while B devotes 10%.

In the old system, B's military is double that of A's, even though A's spending is exponentially larger. 100% of A's total national spending is government spending. B is mostly privatized. It is only logical for A's military to be much more well-funded.

Allow me to offer a solution.

OK, then what about army populations? This is up to one's discretion. Let's compare our to that of the US.
Conservative estimates of total defense spending total $1 trillion. (It's a broad list of stuff.). That's 3.5 million personnel. So, a top-notch military, which we all want, spends $285,714.29 per employee. So:
MP = MS/285,714.29

EEE MP = 397,672 soldiers
Osc MP = 14,231,789 soldiers

So, by soldiers, I mean all personnel, from front-line infantry to paper-pushers to mechanics to nuclear engineers to counter-terrorism experts. One could have exponentially more personnel, but then they would have no big-budget projects, which would be stupid. I know we all love are nukes, UAVs, fighter planes, and CLASSIFIEDs.

To feed the rapidly growing population of Edo Edi Essum and the world, the Annex's economy is planned to be based upon agriculture and oil. Due to the region's tropical climate, crops unusual to temperate EEE will be planted. Major plantations are expected to consist of rice, coffee, sugar, tea, tropical fruits, and other products.

Operation Skylark was successfully completed today. Edo Edi Essum has confiscated all of the nuclear weaponrty of the former Isis Rakael and transported the bombs to Bazra and Threvin. The most advanced missiles will be incorporated into the military; others' fuel will be readied for domestic use.


Over the last five years Edo Edi Essum's population has surged from 25 million to eighty. This multiplication of the Edesu population has caused EEE to become far more diverse than any point in its history. Causes of the growth are listed below.

In response to the collapse of Isis Rakael, 10 million Rakaelian Christians have immigrated to Edo Edi Essum. Since all Edesus are multilingual, communication has not been difficult.

Ten million Annexins have been incorporated into Edo Edi Essum. Northern Annexins are extraordinarily loyal to communism yet only moderately Christian. Southern Annexins are slow to accept communist or Christian rule.

Thirty million Hijjmans are now citizens of Edo Edi Essum. Hijjma remains overwhelmingly pagan. Resistance to communism is minimal.

The population of the Edesu homeland has grown from 25 million to thirty because of government measures to increase family size.

Supreme Holy Technocrat announced the appointment of two viceroys. These powerful officials will have the powers of the SHT in a region. Obviously, the actual Supreme Holy Technocrat can override them.

General Matthew Votost was promoted to Viceroy of Horateos. Although official Edesu territory does not extend far from Sankta Vak, Edesu dominance on the island had become unchallenged after two years of bloodshed. Standard public services are only provided in the official communist zone, christened Sanktzal. (This zone is already marked on the map.) Edesu presence is unusually strong in the direct vicinities of the marble, chrome, and diamond mines. Sugar plantations have been built in Sanktzal and beyond.

Professor of capitalist economics John Clevin [Who gets the pun?] was appointed Viceroy of Edesu Hijjma. The viceroy, in order to compensate for the enormous expense of the orginial invasion and the war, will sell off the vast majority of lucrative Hijjman assets to the highest bidder by 1503. Institutions best left to the public sector, such as schools, universities, hospitals, etc. will be given to Bautizar. All lucrative assets will be sold with the exception of the rubber fields and a fraction of Hijjman factories. [In fact, we do not plan on ever abandoning the rubber fields. I demand a tiny Edesu colony in Hijjma!]

Assets such as oil property, real estate, factories, farms, and other lucrative items have already attracted great international interest. The Rhombian Corproation has already offered ??? nexus credits for the petroleum assets.

Realizing the inevitable abandonment of Edesu Hijjma, Viceroy Clevin axed half of planned construction projects over the next five [RP] years. While essential buildings such as habitations, schools, and hospitals will be built, secondary edifices such as military bases, artistic institutions, and cathedrals will not be.


[For your information, EEE is drafting Hijjma's constitution right now. It will mandate the nationalization of all schools and hospitals. Also, it will guarantee permanent Edesu ownership of the rubber lands.]

Rhombiom Corporation has also assured the public that they will follow whoever will own the land of Hijima and its regulations as long as Rhombiom Corporation can earn profit from the trade. Rhombiom Corporation has also stated that they will be developing the oil fields further through their own share and will give 20% of all sales from Southern Hijima rigs to the owner of the region as "income tax". Rhombiom Corporation has also stated that they will exclusively use Hijimans for the operations in the southern rigs, giving employment and thus stability to the region. In the closing statement, Rhombiom Corporation have stated that they will also purchase the oil rigs in the rate of 3 billion Nexus Credits per rig in Hijima Islands from EEE, along with the property value of 50 billion. Rhombiom Corporation has started to move its assets in order to compensate for the massive purchase, and they expect the total cost to range anywhere from 100 to 150 billion Nexus Credits. The payment will be divided into 10 billion Nexus Credits per half years, fully paying for the credits anywhere within 5 to 7.5 years after the purchase has been confirmed. If requested, Rhombiom Corporation is willing to pay the property fee of 50 billion Nexus Credits in full during the initial signing of contract.

It is good to keep in mind that Rhombiom Corporation has recently merged with LexCo, a company dedicated to oil drilling, as well as acquiring two new oil deposits (one at the top of Oscalantine, other at the Oscalantine Hijima) in the area, and therefore allowing to secure an extra rig will allow the company to compete with EEE to an extent to create not only a fair trade, but prevent any sort of monopoly.

Btw, E, it turns out that for SEA OIL RIGS, which, btw, are hella more expensive than land oil rigs, cost approx. 3 billion dollars per rig. So I matched that price thinking of inflation and likelihood of new technologies installed in the are.

Edo Edi Essum no longer counts Hijjmans as Edesu citizens. Fivew percent of the Hijjman population has filed to immigrate. This five percent, overwhelmingly quite Christian and firmly communist, will immigrate to EEE by 2/10/1503, Hijjman independence day.

Edesu Horateos has begun exporting massive quantities of marble, sugar, chrome (stainless steel), and diamonds.

Although Sanktzal's official boundaries have not expanded, both Plots 40 and 41 are controlled by Edo Edi Essum. The tribes do not dare cross EEE for fear of retribution. Sankta Vak receives generous tribute from scores of "nations" in Norateos.
Sugar production has become massive and aluminum mining has begun. Norateos will surely meet Roberto's Four Year Plan.
Sanktzal is secure. Crime is as low as in the Homeland, and the city is a bastion. Civilization does not stretch far beyond Sanktzal, the mines, or the satellite plantations. A basic level of communist loyalty exists among Sanktzal's natives. Conversion is occurring rapidly in the northwest but slowly elsewhere.

Edo Edi Essum is extremely unpopular. The only thing preventing full-out revolt is the guarantee of sovereignty in 1503. Liberal use of the police quells poorly organized insurrections. At least Edo Edi Essum will profit slightly from the sale of Hijjman assets. Have the vote counts been decided upon yet for South Hijjma?
