Oscalantine’s governmental system is dubbed Oligarchic Corporatocracy, a government ruled by the “membership” of different companies. Therefore, Oscalantine has extensive list of companies that Oscalantine is connected to in certain ways or they are working towards being part of Oscalantine’s exclusive company membership.


Member Companies

These companies are part of Oscalantine. They participate in Oscalantine’s governments and have huge majority of the government. These companies are favored in Oscalantine and are exception to Oscalantine’s monopoly laws, and for the most part allowed free reign in Oscalantine. Oscalantine will go to the extensive lengths to protect these companies and their corporate interests. Most likely these companies will obtain the first of the government contracts, and they control pretty much the entire market of Oscalantine. It could be said that they are Oscalantine, running and maintaining the land under the mask of “Oscalantine.” These companies also work as “parties” in the government, making sure that their company’s interest is reflected in the government. Understanding these companies will be able to ensure that you know the innermost workings of Oscalantine’s decisions.

Probably the most prominent of the company in Oscalantine, Nexus Incorporated, or Nexus Inc, has the most influence in Oscalantine. For one reason or another, Nexus Inc is less capitalistic than the most companies, often times allowing losses under the name of “future investment.” Nexus Inc is truly a company that is large enough to make up for the losses, as they have grown extremely large under the protection of its government. Nexus Inc is pretty much the company that has completely adapted into the Oscalantine’s unique political system, as they even have a separate “government” and “political” branch working to keep Oscalantine’s politics under their control.

Rhombiom Corporation is a company that specializes in production of processed resources. They have been working closely with Nexus Incorporated for decades, providing Nexus Inc with resources that are necessary. Rhombiom Corporation has grown significantly this last year or so due to several fortunate series of events. Upon joining Oscalantine, their revenue nearly doubled, as they started to provide for Oscalantine’s major productions. Recently, Rhombiom Corporation has also seized all assets of Lexicon Corporation, further improving their assets. All in all, Rhombiom is rising power in Oscalantine, competing with Nexus Inc for their share of political power.
Rhombiom Corporation has also been involved heavily in constructive works. It has been involved in various different type of terraforming businesses in Oscalantine, often times competing with Oslose Foundation for contracts.

Oslose Foundation

Oslose Foundation is a country-owned company of Oscalantine, in charge of public works. They do not make profit and their asset varies from year to year due to budget changes. However, they do have shareholders and have small share of Oscalantine. They work closely with member companies to ensure that their needs are met along with country’s needs. It is also to note that all automated factories in Oscalantine are owned by Oslose, and other companies are in need of borrowing them. Oslose maintains these factories using rental fee that it obtains from other companies.

Melcoba Corporation is a small company that really doesn’t make anything. They are more or less symbolic gesture from Oscalantine and Nexus Incorporated for fighting against USI during the revolutionary times. However, they have been known to have large assets and runs lucrative business of museums, which they have near monopoly of in Oscalantine. They own countless valued cultured artifacts that they lent for profits, but many people know that all these luxuries are guilty pleasure of Melcoba Family, who has been known to collect priceless pieces of art for generations.
Melcoba Corporation also has a large influence over companies. Therefore, they use their influence to run a privately-owned patent office. These patents are almost always respected in the corporate world, as they are known to be backed by Melcoba and Oscalantine.
Melcoba Corporation also has a private “club” called Melcoba Alliance, where all the companies that have relationships with Melcoba Corporations gather to discuss the future of their companies. Many companies benefit from this meeting, as lucrative, behind-the-scenes business deals are made under the protection of Oscalantine’s pro-business laws. Oscalantine never discloses the total list of these companies involved, but it is assumed that most of the known world’s companies take part of this meeting at one point in time or another.

Daz Group is a multinational corporation that rivals Nexus Incorporation in certain areas. Dazz Group has several divisions, most well-known being agriculture and Pharmaceutical. They also run a lucrative business in selling insurance policies in Oscalantine. It has been speculated that Dazz Group has knowledge of most known biological weapons, but that was never closely discussed in public. Recently, the Daz Group has grown significantly in areas of insurance policies, as they started to take roles of providing for "safety nets" for member companies of Oscalantine, as Oscalantine has finally decided to privatize "too big to fail" policy that it has bee adapting for several years. Thanks to this dealings, the Daz Group has rose to power within the Oscalantine, up to the point of obtaining the prestigious "Member Company" status within Oscalantine. The amount of influence within Oscalantine also nearly tripled, as it started to fill in the empty political vaccuum left by the Lindback Corporation.

Many also look forward to a day when they can be part of Oscalantine, being protected and funded by Oscalantine itself.

Lindback Corporation

The Lindback Corporation has been shown to have its loyalty towards Isis Rakael. And thus, they have officially withdrawn their political influence from Oscalantine. Although it might have been in their interest to maintain the thread of influence, the recent growth of Daz Group has erased all traces of Lindback's influence in Oscalantine.

The Rozencruz Family

The Rozencruz Family isn't necessarily a company, per se. Rather, it is a massive criminal group that was once based on faraway country, but due to recent crackdown of crimes in that country has forced them to move their entire asset to Oscalantine, which has practically welcomed them with open arms. The family, of course, has a banner company specializing in garbage removal service known as "Rozen Corporation," but it is widely known that this feat is just to keep themselves "legitimate" within the Oscalantine paperworks than to actually work in the light. The family specializes in many of the illegal activities such as smuggling, black market, drug dealings, and hired hands. However, contrary to what might be believed, their hierarchical structure makes them extremely efficient private police force around major Oscalantine cities. They have grown with the support of both the Nexus Incorporated and the Daz Group into the head criminal organization within Oscalantine, and has since then started to strategically remove their rival criminal forces within Oscalantine, and thus strangely making Oscalantine streets safer place. However, despite all the good that it has done to Oscalantine, it is not to be misunderstood that the Rozencruz family has turned a new leaf. Rather, it is beneficial to play along with the companies within Oscalantine for the family. They have never ceased to commit into illegal activities within Oscalantine and the world abroad. Although not directly spoken, the family's goal in Oscalantine seems clear: to obtain enough status within Oscalantine to completely control it under their banner.

They have escaped with majority of their non-infected celebrity stars as well as many of their stockholders to Oscalantine. Since then, they have been building massive media industry in order to bolster their growth within Oscalantine. While their current interest lies only in growing celebrities and gaining entertainment foothold within Oscalantine, their plans conflict with the TriN Industries, as the Horizon seeks to control all media in Oscalantine.

The Signators of Xia is a conglomerate of military-industry complexes that practically replaced Oscalantine's dependency on Lindback Corporation. Spawning from fiercely militaristic nation of Imperial Overlord, the Signators of Xia has some of the best military minds in the business. Gone rogue since the sudden anarchy of Imperial Overlord, Xia has since been utilizing what little assets that they had to survive as a business organization. However, with its integration to Oscalantine, Xia has been doing phenomenally, finally having a proper governmental backing as well as production capabilities to produce state-of-the-art military technology. Xia's affiliation to Oscalantine has caused a second Oscalantine military revolution, as the military technology of Imperial Overlord has met up with technological innovations of Oscalantine. The Signators of Xia has recently began to work closely with major companies of Oscalantine to create the best of the military technology for Oscalantine. It has also began to produce programs to train the National Army up to the rigorous standards of Imperial Overlord.

Nexus Incorporated works in a pure company in terms of technicality, but the notorious Kwon family has majority of the stocks, and they have been ruling Nexus Incorporated as sort of hidden mafia family. Due to this, many of the officials are of their family or close to them in terms of personal life. Kwon family has, however, shown no actual sign of decay, as they have the notion that Nexus Incorporated and Oscalantine is the only way of life. They strive with their multi-billion assets to support Oscalantine in all ways possible… which is probably the reason why all-powerful company like Nexus Incorporated has so little annual profits.
