TREASURY BILL

Chapter 1:
This bill shall create the Tiberiam Department of Treasury

THE DEPARTMENT OF THE TREASURY will be responsible for overseeing the establishment and management of the FIRST REGIONAL BANK OF THE TIBERIAM. This institution shall, but not be limited to, conducting the region’s monetary policy, supervising and maintaining the stability of our financial system, as well as providing financial services to the Government of the Tiberiam.

THE TIBERIAM CREDITS shall be considered the official currency of the Tiberiam, carrying with it the power of legal tender for all debts public and private.

The Secretary of Culture shall wield full power over the Treasury Department

Chapter 2
Section 1.
Every personal bank account shall be given a deposit of 1,000 credits.


Section 2
The following purchases may be made through the Treasury Department:

Forums- 1,500 Credits
- Sub Forums- 500 Credits
- User Groups STANDARD (10 Members)- 1,500 Credits

Personalized Usergroup PLUS (10+ Members)- 2,500 credits. (Or an
additional 1,250 if you have already have the STANDARD package.)
- Personal Logo- 1,000
- Forum Avatar/Name- 250 credits
- RMB Message = 250 credits
- Mass Forum PM = 250 credits (per Usergroup)
- Forum Signature = 375 credits
- Forum Info Box = 500 credits (24 hours)
- World Factbook Entry = 750 credits (24 hours)
- Voice of the People = 250 credits
- Pillar of the Tiberiam = 375 credits
- Force of Democracy = 500 credits
- Public Event - 500 credits initial payment, plus 250 per additional 24 hrs
- Private Event - 1,000 credits initial payment, plus 500 per additional 24 hrs


This act shall go into effect upon passage by a majority of the Senate

I am going to propose business creation after this.

I can't vote, but I think this is a very un-neccaseary position. We are still a small region and this just doesn't seem needed at this time and would therefore be pointless.

I am very undecided on this legislation. What will this exactly do for us besides nationalize all currency for all nations?

I would support the idea of a global currency, but for roleplay purposes only. I don't like the idea of having to "pay" for basic forum maintenance.

Well, in my other region(when I was the treasury secretary), it worked and it seemed to be the most important thing in the region besides law-making.

I'm gonna have to agree with Rasvidi. You shouldn't have to pay to enjoy the forum to it's full extent, I think the way it works now is great. And if that was the way it worked in your other region, I don't understand why people liked that.
