| Secretary of Culture's FINAL VERDICT EEE will be granted to keep the previous calculation until the end of Hijima Island Conflict. OK, my economy has been going haywire lately according to NS's calculations. I slowly built it up to Good. In this process, I nationalized all industry and property with Issue 265, which only dropped my economic rating one level. Then, with issue 4 I apparently nationalized all industry and property again; my economy fell six rankings. I then created a national fire service and it went up one. Upon instituting freedom of information, it fell two. This is entirely illogical. Since I have saved my Good economic figures from 12/8 or so, I will use them, obviously adjusting for population growth.

| Well people are obviously going to call foul on this. Why should you be afforded this luxury over everyone else? If we can just continue operating as if we never fell from our highest NS economic rating, then I would be able to use the highest rating, since I hit that spot and held it for quite a while. | |

| Hmmm.....
EEE, you put me in tough choices. But I am glad that you are doing this openly instead of covertly. I realized that your economy is the WORST of the Tiberiam in terms of NS economy.
Both of your points are taken... E, you are right that the things have been screwy with your nation, and Ras is also right for saying that I shouldn't give favoritism to anyone. All of your opinion is valid... which brings me to the point here.
Ras, I have to say that while you are right and that everyone worked hard for their nation, E has been getting... backhanded by NS's horrid calculations. I have read the situation in the forum concerning what has been going on, and it really isn't his fault. However, I have noticed that E has been breaking my newest "where is the money coming from?!" rule a few times.
In this regard, I'll give my verdict: Until the end of Hijima Island Conflict, EEE's current economic standings stays status quo to his previous setting. Afterwards, EEE's economy must adjust to what it is now.
I say this because it is kind of realistic. Roleplay-Wise, EEE has a great economy going from agriculture and oil, which means that EEE's current "basket case" rating is ridiculous from RP standpoint. However, this is completely different story since EEE is fighting against Ras and Grace of EU. EEE should lose some economy after this war is over to begin with, because EEE probably has and probably will spend a HUGE sum of money to defend its territory, for the better or worse. This means that EEE will suffer a depression (much like many countries after WWI and WWII) after the war is over.
I hope this is acceptable to both of you. I know that you want to be fare, Ras, but E has been hit hard by NS calculation, and I understand that. Therefore for the sake of realism, I say let E keep his rating until the war is over, and we can let the economy drop after that REALISTICALLY.
By the way, E, this does NOT give you a mandate that you will win the war. You plan that out with Ras and Grace in terms of what territory is taken where, and what you need to give in. But I repeat, I am NOT saying that EEE will win the war 100%. You may lose, or you may win. It is up to the RP. Not mad, just giving you thumbs up on the issue.

| I shall respect the decisions of the Secretary of Culture, even if I do not fully agree with them. I would be very thankful to Oscalantine, EEE! | |

| I realize that the yielding is kind of difficult for both of you, especially due to RP tension, I would like to thank both of you for respecting my decision, and I hope that while we may be pitted against each other in deadly combat in RP, that we remain courteous to one another in OOC. | |

| I plan on RPing an economic recovery through August 1st. By then, I want my economy back.
I seriously doubt I can regain my economic strength under the NS profile of EEE. I have already answered every issue which could possibly raise my economic conditions in a painless manner (with the exception of the tariff one). I've been playing this game longer than everyone but Bautizar and Isis Rakael; trust me. I have created a fair proxy, however.
Edesus began the game as a fully communist nation with a Basketcase economy. I have been carefully recording every issue I answer for it, and it has already achieved a Good economy. I want to eventually use Edesus as my proxy. EEE will represent my population and name. Edesus will provide all other data, obviously adjusted for population growth.
I know this proxy is a little annoying, but NSG's stupid calculation knocked my economy down 7 levels. I can't recover from that without raping my environment and giving my workers conditions the USSR would frown on. (That's like Rasvidi falling from Frightening to Reasonable.)
Obviously, such a recovery in too short a period of time would be ridiculous. I will patiently wait 4 RP years. Until then, I might get lucky and raise my economy two levels. And frankly, everyone, this proxy is fair. If I don't have an economy, I automatically lose. And you all must agree that waiting 8 RLmonths in damn patient, especially for me.
