Awesome!!!

Grace, just so that you are cool with it, I will put the commercial supersonic aircraft in the list along with my invention. However, do keep in mind that other countries can and easily could invent those aircrafts if they choose to do so.

How, on the other hand... if you were talking about Scramjet airplanes... we might have some issues in terms of who can invent it or whatnot. [/hint]

After further research, I have discovered that the technology I desire has existed for decades. I withdraw the oil tech patent.

Alright, EEE, I'll yield. In fact, I guess I deserve to give some hints to everyone about their inventions, right?

Well, here's one for EEE... given that you wish to listen to it. Can you reply as to whether you want to see what I want to see? It is oil-related.

There currently is a method around that allows for these byproduct gases produced in the refinery to be converted into oil... I believe more finely refined oil. It could be sold at premium costs or something... I'll have to research on that to see if that is true, but it seems like it is something that logic tells that it is possible. At any rate, it should increase your oil production if I find a proof of its existence. I'll get back to you on that =D

EDIT

My bad. It tuns out that the technology is on the BRINK of discovery... but not yet modern. I cannot give you the tech, sorry! silent

[referance]

I'll try to find another technology for you... hopefully I can.

I found something! Waste to fuel

In case you don't want to read the brief article, this new technology, recently patented, injects biofuel (EEE has plenty of straw to spare.) into the worthless, toxic byproducts of diesel processing. The new diesel fuel lowers EEE's production cost by generating more product and reduces the cost of clean-up, as there is less waste.

Patented, I guess.

I understand the situation. The current invention is in operation around the world in implementation stage. And since it is a developed technology... I would say yes, but just as they need to take 3 years, I think you, too, will need three years (RP time) to completely create a necessary infrastructure and testing before the invention can be used. Is that alright with you?

KingIsaac's Patent Suggestion1: Water-fueled cars

Explanation:
The electricity from the battery splits the water into its hydrogen and oxygen components, and this hydrogen can then be used to power the car engine. Normally it takes temperatures of about 5,400 degrees Fahrenheit to generate hydrogen from water, but here I am just using an ordinary 12-volt battery

PostSubject: Re: Desk of Patents and Inventions   Desk of Patents and Inventions - Page 2 EmptyFri Feb 25, 2011 11:15 am

Hmmm....

I looked the water-fueled cars up, and I have found that like many inventions approved here, water-fueled engines are not yet common in the world, but theoretically plausible.

Here's a link where I nailed that the water-fueled engine isn't currently inventing in human history.
[Inventions that COULD HAVE changed history]

It is right up there with time travel and teleportation XDDD

However, I do believe that the world has gotten REALLY close to inventing one, so I won't say no. BUT... You must abide by several things

1. There is NO WAY that the car can go anywhere with 12-volt battery. Separating hydrogen from water would take IMMENSE power in order to get the car going through combustion. You would need more reliable source than simple car-batteries.

2. The crap isn't invented yet... so you will need to have an invention time or phase. Like all other inventions that seems to be invented but not yet in the world, you will need to show the progress of inventing. EEE, I, and Isis have or current is going through the process. Same goes for this inventions. You MUST go through invention process of... I say a good half-decade (5 RP years)

3. I somehow doubt that this car will be available for wide-consumption. For one, the parts needed is EXTREMELY expensive. You will need either chemical solution as "engine oil" or powerful batteries to generate hydrogens at effective rate. I guess this is at the cost of only needing to add water, but the start-up cost must be MASSIVE. I say that this car cannot be wide-spread and can only be purchased by the top 2~3% of the people in any given country... and I'm being generous about the cost. Imagine that each water-fueled car would cost about the same as a brand-name sports car... maybe even more.

Given those rules, you may have this non-existent invention. I see where you are coming at, and I also saw that many claim to have invented it. However, the fact that there isn't one running around gives me a benefit of the doubt... same as orbital weapon system that I approved Isis with. So same game here... you invent it and take your time RPing about it.

Oh and another thing... I'm ONLY approving the water-fueled engine's concept, not the entire car. For the car to be functional, you will need to invent a whole new "engine oil" for the car (if you want to try chemical approach of separating hydrogen from water) or fuel cells (if you want to try electrical approach.)

Now given, there is already a fuel cell tech available for Tiberiam, with Oscalantine being the leading innovator in the technology. You will have to invent through independent research or purchase those fuel cells through some sort of business deal. OR... you might be able to strike a joint-project with Oscalantine. However, given the circumstances you have with Oscalantine (somehow the two nations almost went into brink of war), anything besides purchasing the fuel cells expensively or taking several years inventing one... of course, if you asked really nicely, maybe...

Either way, the point is that it can be approved, but with restriction and limitations. Read these rules and see if you still want this invention.

(btw, if you noticed... I put buts and ifs on everything. Isis had to go through the same, I believe I did, and EEE had to go through the same. Just the normal approval phase of Patents... don't be offended Razz )

Adding Lime (Calcoium Hydroxide) to Seawater

This would marginally increase the ocean's alkaline level. (Who passed basic chemistry?) Greatly increased CO2 admissions within the last 100 years have caused global warming and made the oceans much more acidic. Were enough lime to be harvested in desert regions using solar power and dumped into the ocean, the ocean could be made 1 or 2 percent more basic. Such a change would cause the ocean to absorb much more CO2, kill off level plankton, and reverse global warming over the last 100 years.

Tempting, no? A lot of lime might be needed, though.

Maybe we need a global conference to address my item above. It's not as much a patent as an idea. We all know how to extract lime.

For clarification, does Isis Rakael have access to this technology already? It was, I recall, being researched/developed jointly by Oscalantine and the Lindback Corporation, but I don't want to jump the gun and start using it if I don't actually have it.

Wait... What?!

Stealth fighter was joint project by lindback and nexus. Fuel cell was entirely nexus invention along with thermal laser.

So far, the modern world doesn't have fuel cells in mass production. You would have to make you own or buy it off of someone that has it...

And one last thing about fuel cells... The one that I patented was magnesium/air(oxygen) fuel cell. Some others have yet been invented.

What, biofuel? Anti-acidity contents?

Yeah I'm looking into it. It doesn't help when I don't even know the invention's name... but for some reason, I have hard time believing the decay can transform into gasoline in short period of time... but if you have the internet ref, please send!!!

As for making acidity of sea going down... I have to say approved, but you have fun trying to amass enough chemicals to do that. The technology is already modern, and I have sufficient proof of its existence already. However, can any one country create enough chemicals to drop the acidity of the water even by 1%? I dunno about that...

One of your telegrams a while back mentioned that Lindback would have (at the very least) plans for early magnesium-air fuel cells. And our summit seemed to indicate some sort of collaberative effort. I took that to mean they were working together, but see? This is why I ask questions. Razz Now I know I don't. Thanks!

Pigoline
Since this was invented in 2003 I could have it fully institutionalized now.
Oh, shit. I could use this for all kinds of excrement: human, agricultural, industrial. Look what Scotland did in 1997.

Edesu Patent Suggestion 005 was Industrial waste-to-fuel. That should be ready in a few years.
Pigoline was Edesu Patent Suggestion 006. See post above.
Edesu Patent Suggestion 007 (Dumping lime into water) doesn't qualify for a patent; it's not original. Osc is right; where would I find enough cheap lime? (Ras, do you want to add cheap lime to the southeast corner of my Annex?)
Edesu Patent Suggestion 008 is Converting Waste Heat to Electricity. I wonder why no one thought of this before. It makes your car 25% more efficient by giving it an additional auto-charging battery. The invention can be used for a plethora of purposes.
On to solar power. Edesu Patent Suggestion 009 is A Power Sticker to Boost Solar Power Generation. Edesu Patent Suggestion 010 is Graphene, which will make solar power ridiculously cheap and flexible.

Plagiarizing inventions is fun. I think I'll stop for today before I'm banned from this thread.

EEE, I can approve the patents, but here's something that I gotta say...

Dudes, where's the money coming from?

I realize that most of your industry is public, meaning that your R&D department must also be public. And the government must be in EXTREME debt... do you want me to LOWER your econ rating instead of raising it?

Petroleum-based inventions I understand... that's not something that's new for you, since you have been leader in those fields for quite awhile. However, solar-power and other areas like heat to electrcity seems more like Grace's area... as in EEE would need to reinvent the wheel.
