In the former state of Isis Rakel:

Civil unrest of wanting work within the state has been become a burden on many citizens. As set by the guidence of Lindback corp, 500 citizens stand in wait at the docks for further instructions on how to help this war.

Hijima Island Conflict - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hijima Island Conflict   Hijima Island Conflict - Page 4 EmptyTue Dec 21, 2010 7:52 am

In the light of new trade that is happening, Lindback Corporation was one company that was profiting the most. With its secure access to material and secure trade route via Oscalantine channels, Lindback Corporation was able to make a profitable business with ammunition businesses. For Lindback Corporation, a company specializing in military hardware and technology, advanced guns and ammunitions sales are especially booming during wartimes. Lindback has not yet had a secure business deals with different countries, but every country could use an extra ammunition in wartime, and Lindback was finally starting to make up for its losses that it suffered during the collapse of mighty Isis Rakael.

… and more.

Oscalantine was always a potential partner for Lindback Corporation ever since mTC. Lindback Corporation was Isis Rakael’s company specialized in military technology, and Oscalantine was in need of military technology. While Nexus Incorporated was more or less capable of inventing military technology in their R&D departments, their core continued to remain in information technology. For technology such as tanks and advanced aircrafts, Lindback was far superior in their ways. Therefore, Oscalantine was always open to purchasing goods that have been prepared especially for Oscalantine military. The newest design of AAXII was just that. AAXII was finally officially into the Oscalantine’s UCV division, with its far superior exterior design. The overall capacity of this UAVS increased significantly since Lindback came into the Oscalantine’s wings. Lindback was also helping with AutomatonCarpet and AutomatonShark, two of the automated weapons systems that Oscalantine was working with. With Lindback’s centuries of tradition, these two R&D departments was being getting ahead of schedule, as those two UCVs were introduced into its field test during the war of Hijima Island. Lindback was getting the precious funding that it needed to continue to thrive, and it now again had a stable client… of course, the funding was nowhere near the amount that Isis gave, but the projects being requested required surprisingly little credit, thanks to Nexus Inc’s leading innovation of information technology.

And like all other members of Melcoba Alliance, Lindback, too, wished to be part of Oscalantine’s umbrella of protection. It is natural, therefore, that Lindback will do anything to win the favor of Oscalantine’s member companies. It just happens that Rhombiom Corporation is requesting men to be transported to Hijima Island for construction project. While Lindback Corporation has its suspicion as to what this means, it is all too willing to win the favor of any company in Oscalantine.

Lindback Official Jane Black was supervising the 500 individuals. They were gearing up to work in the Hijima Island, like many that has been doing. It wasn’t completely uncommon for Lindback to be sending people from Isis Rakael to Hijima in order to earn a few extra cash. There was plenty of construction projects that Rhombiom Corporation was taking part in for both Oscalantine Hijima as well as Edesu Hijima. It really didn’t matter where they went, because Hijima Island was always filled with work. Jane sighed. Isis Rakael’s citizens were now poverty-stricken and unable to earn a decent living in this anarchistic country. Jane was one of the fortunate few that managed to earn a spot in Lindback Corporation. She knew that she would be in the same boat as them heading out to Hijima for a quick buck to feed her younger siblings if she wasn’t chosen to work for Lindback Corporation.

Jane looked at the bags and the crates. They were indeed well-packed. Lindback was always supplying the immigration of Isisians to be shipped out for work. They provided loans on various supplies that they will need, anywhere from shovels to foodstuff for the harsh journey up ahead. They usually will not repay the debt that they owed, but Lindback was more than happy to share the small portion of wealth that they were receiving, for less poor was in Isis, the less chance that Lindback branches will be attacked for food. The crates seemed no different from the rest, but Jane couldn’t shrug off the feeling that something was horribly wrong with the individuals. How could she say it… they seemed more determined and hardened than your average frightened laborers. Well, nothing happened, and they obeyed the rules well. That was all that mattered. As soon as the Rhombiom boat arrived, they will be on their merry way, and Jane won’t see them ever again.

Just then, two massive submarines surfaced. Jane was shocked to see such a large-class submarines coming ashore in a civilian dock. Jane was able to catch the glimpse of what she was seeing and realized why her subordinates did not report their presence. IncS The Shrugging One and IncS The Whiny One... they were the superweapon of Oscalantine, a super-sized stealth submarines. Jane heard that these submarines never surfaced under any circumstances in any waters apart from Oscalantine’s. Yet here they were, two out of three of them, before her in a civilian docking area. And as if they were expecting these massive military submarines, all of the 500 men stood up and readied themselves to get on. Jane was confused, but she signaled her subordinates to allow these submarines to dock.

Jane went to the docked submarines. The Shrugging One’s cargo bay opened up, allowing quick loading of cargo. The cargo bay, which is supposed to hold massive amount of ammo, was completely empty. Jane surmised that the spaces were large enough to hold 350 men each comfortably enough. And as expected, two of the Oscalantine naval officers exited The Shrugging One. They were followed by several naval crewmen who took out a foldable table and bundles of what seemed like paperwork for immigration. This was certainly strange, as Jane was already done with the paperwork of the 500 civilians.

“Excuse me, sirs,” Jane went up and addressed one of the naval officials, “I am Jane Black of Lindback Corporation. May I ask… what is going on?”

“I will answer that, Ma’Lady.” A black figurine answered her. He was exiting the submarine through the cargo bay. He bowed to Jane formally.

“Two words: Corporate Business. As with everythin’ in Oscalantine, this submarine and all its crew has been hmmm… ‘purchased’ by one of our many, many clients. Same goes for these men.” The black figurine said as he snapped his fingers twice and turned around, “I suggest that you do not ask any further, Ma’Lady, for your safety.”

Jane could swear that she remembered this voice… he was Sir Omega, one of the top 30 of Corporate Army. Jane could only speculate just who they were, as all 500 men were given the new immigration documents and put into the stealth submarine’s cargo hold. The cargo hold closed, and the submarines started to back out.

Sir Omega was staying ashore, however, and he was waving good-bye to the submarines. Jane, standing rather awkwardly by his side, watched as these massive submarines soon disappeared from view.

“Who,” Jane whispered, “who has enough money to purchase TWO of the Oscalantine’s greatest weapons?”

“I suppose the same person that can deploy military despite the situation that he or she is in. Very Rich.” Sir Omega said, “Well, Ma’Lady, I suggest you do not pondr’ these politics any more. Now, if you will lead the way to Lindback HQ, if you don’t mind. I have message from Executor Nate.”

“Of course.”

Oscalantine’s stealth submarines were indeed modern marvel… a pinnacle of naval technology that Oscalantine has been investing trillions of Nexus Credits into. They were able to pass all radar and came to their destination… somewhere in Hijima. Off the coast where concrete barrier have not yet reached, the submarines surfaced. They half-opened their cargo bay to allow several inflatable boats to the water. The 500 men and their supplies quickly coasted into the Hijima Island as quickly as possible. They took two daring trips to unload their cargo of what seemed to be tools that they would be using for the construction project. However, being in the dead of night being unloaded by military-grade submarines didn’t seem to add up to them being anywhere near your average Joe going to work in some kind of reconstruction project. Regardless, as soon as their cargoes were completely unloaded, the two stealth submarines quickly sank out of trace, and the 500 men, too, quickly went their way to their way to wherever they needed to be. Soon, the beach had only several inflatable boats that they left behind, obviously made by KingIssac.

(OOC- OK, I know I am way behind on this, but let me begin.

Quote :
EEE propaganda has reported that these natives have supposedly embraced a rapid change in their way of life and converted to Christianity and communism with minimal protest. This shouldn't be believed for a second. Although it may be true these natives have stepped down and not fought for their freedom from EEEs terror, they are no doubt doing so only in the interest of self preservation. Not in content with their new supposedly improved way of life forced upon them as falsely reported by Edo Edi Essum.

You must realize that the Edesu people have been sending missionaries to the South for centuries, far before communist EEE itself. There was a Christian minority to begin with; all of these people had heard of the faith. Invasion did indeed galvanize conversion, though. I'll explain more later. There's so much to read. Your speech is half true.]

My post will be online this evening.

Hijima Island Conflict - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hijima Island Conflict   Hijima Island Conflict - Page 4 EmptyThu Dec 23, 2010 9:30 pm

Rasvidi has, quite arguably, the greatest military in the world. Nonetheless, there is only so much a nation can do to conceal the mobilization of hundreds of thousands of troops. Edo Edi Essum had a two day warning. All standard defensive procedures were implemented: soldiers were readied for war, militias were organized, the citizenry prepared for the worst, etcetera. The Edesu government also needed to rally the proletariat.

The entirety of the Homeland and most of the Annex got their news from approved media. All news sources are allowed rather broad rights to free press with two exceptions: no blasphemy or condemnation of communism (as communism and Catholicism are considered one and the same). So as long as media does not denounce Edo Edi Essum’s two fundamental beliefs, there is no problem. Annexin rebel media consistently broke these rules and was therefore not funded by the Communications Ministry. Hence, the only media form these rebels could organize was radio.

Kharza Radio had total dominance among subversive media in the Annex. The station had millions of faithful listeners and maintained the greatest secrecy in order to avoid governmental detection. Edo Edi Essum did discover the location of the radio station and concocted an insane yet ingenious last-resort strategy.

For months elite actors hired by the Interior Ministry [which does all things security] studied Kharza Radio. Its hosts’ speech patterns and characteristics were perfectly copied by the actors. Upon learning of the imminent Rasvidian invasion, the Security Ministry (a subdivision of the Interior Ministry) decided it was time to rally the entirety of the Annex.

It was the first illegal operation by the Edesu government in decades; infiltrating Kharza Radio was considered too important for licit channels. Elite members of the Security Ministry disappeared all staff members and families connected to Kharza Radio. No one could discover the station’s infiltration. The families’ disappearances would not be noticed in the ensuing bedlam.

The station, located in Finix, was destroyed and abandoned. The Security Ministry would clandestinely continue Kharza’s 24-hour broadcasts from the center of the Annex. There, it would be safe from Rasvidi. The masterful actors performed impeccably. No one noticed the governmental infiltration. Kharza Radio continued promoting paganism and condemning communism. Nonetheless, their stance changed. Kharza Radio began promoting a new agenda. Sure, rebels should distrust Edo Edi Essum, but at least the communists build schools and houses and quickly tripled life expectancy in the Annex. Rasvidi just killed people. Recent dissidents became patriots, considering EEE the lesser of two evils.

With this one illegal action, the Annex truly became Edesu. Now both the Homeland and the Annex were united against Rasvidi. With nearly every possible source of media in the Annex spewing pro-EEE propaganda, the Annex was ready to fight to the death for Edo Edi Essum. Conversion would accelerate, and the Annex would soon be united through Faith and Communism.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Edesu perpetrations for the worst were paying off. The Edesu Air Force reinforced the Edesu Navy at Salvador, Finix, and Hijjma. Approximately fifty ships of all sizes, five hundred fighters (mostly Sukhoi SU-35’s), and five hundred bombers fought relentlessly against Rasvidian and Gracealonan invasion.
[OK, the next paragraph is a bit unexpected. NSeconomy randomly raised my military spending by a percent. Therefore, my troop numbers are going to spontaneously increase. To be fair, the ratio will remain perfectly constant in comparison to my last post. Foreign counts come from your posts. Edesu calculation is based off the US military. Half of my forces are waiting quietly in the Homeland.]
A mere two weeks before the invasion, military consumption of Edesu GDP rose to 8%. Therefore, there are 285.7 thousand active military personnel and 2.3 million reserves in Hijjma, 228.6 thousand active military personnel and 2.4 million reserves in the Annex, and 133.7 thousand active military personnel and 4.6 million reserves in the Homeland.
Approximately 80,000 EU soldiers, 600 tanks, 50 ships, 50 bombers, and 175 fighters invaded Finix; an equally sized army invaded Salvador. Because Edo Edi Essum mandates weekly military practice for all young men and daily vigorous exercise for all citizens, millions were mobilized to defend the Motherland. The Eastern Union [Is it still called that?] clashed at both of these cities with Edesu armies of approximately 400,000 men, 2,000 tanks, fifty ships of all sizes, five hundred fighters (mostly Sukhoi SU-35’s), and five hundred bombers.
Hijjma was more one-sided. The wholly Rasvidian invasion force of 20,000 soldiers, 20 ships, 20 fighters, and 20 bombers were decimated attacked by the Edesu military, being outnumbered 20:1.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

The Eastern missile retaliation was catastrophic. Although all of the missiles directed towards Hijjma were harmlessly shot down, nearly half of those directed towards the Southern Annex were successfully destructive. Finix was obliterated, quickly annihilating half of both the EU and Edesu forces and probably half of the EU forces. Approximately one million souls perished in Finix’s general vicinity. Those battles farther from Finix continued uninterrupted.

Salvador was spared in comparison to Finix. Due to the city’s distance from the Isles, most missiles were neutralized; one quarter still reached their targets. Approximately one third of the Edesu forces and maybe one quarter of the EU forces were obliterated. Due to the overwhelming Edesu numbers and defensive positions, EEE prevailed.

This does not mean that the missiles were nothing less than an absolute catastrophe. Entire cities were destroyed. Two million Edesu citizens would die within a week, and new cities would need to be built from scratch. The economy would suffer greatly to say the least, but Edo Edi Essum would survive.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
[I hereby christen the IR-NX-Rasvidi conflict the North Sea War, the Edesu and Oscalantine invasions of Hijjma the Hijjman War, and this conflict the Edesu Oil War.]
[Complaints? My apologies for the delay, four days of total absence and a long post will cause my post to take a while.]
After the civilians were safely on the coast line. Most spread out in a radius just to be sure that there were no officals around.
After, the civilans knew what there mission was, and they knew they would not come back unless they succeed. They opened up the creates in order to see what they can find.
the contents of the box held false identification papers, each with there own photo and working papers that show they were from Lindback corp. There were explosives for there work as well as handguns. They decided to take out all the mines and the hand guns out on the ground and reposition them in so that there would be a tarp over the guns and the explovises on the top as well as other equipment and tools for drilling.
They knew they needed to get to a miners town without getting notices.
The captian drew out the map. He pointed to a miners colony on a couple of clicks west. he summoned the rest of the workers to carry the boxes and lead them towards the hall
As they were walking, in the middle of nowhere, one of the soldiers were talking to one another.
" i wonder how the talks are going in EU. I mean, we are apart of it afterall!"
"Ya, i dont like that new forign asshole in our department! He is going to weaken us internally!"
" i didnt vote for him"-another spoke
The captian stopped the regimen and told them to be quiet as we only need to speak in Rakelian and EEE that's it. They are trained in knowing at least five lang before joining the military.
Evey one was slient before they came upon a miners town. There were two guards in front of a gate.
Hijima Island Conflict - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hijima Island Conflict   Hijima Island Conflict - Page 4 EmptyTue Dec 28, 2010 9:55 am
“… for the Corporation.” Black Figurine added over the speaker.
“Awesome, dudes! Let us kill all these seeds-o-decent and let us report back home!” Sir Omicron said, spinning around in the chair of the head office of one of the Oscalantine Hijima’s reservoirs.
The situation was under control… under corporate control. The single largest number of Corporate Army was deployed along with single largest number of “Top Pointers” of Corporate Army was involved in taking over the two reservoirs safely. It was difficult, but through well-placed traps, crowd control, assassination, and other scheming methods, the Corporate Army was able to take over the two largest reservoirs with rumored several tons of crude oil safely. Sir Omicron was leading the operation in this reservoir, and Sir Kappa was leading the operation in the other. They decided to strike down both at the same day at the precisely the same time, making the job and timing even more difficult than it already was, but they did pull it off. Now Sir Omicron sat at the commanding desk of HLF, while the commander himself was knelt in the ground with his hands up. Madam Upsilon had her gun pointed towards the commander of HLF, waiting for Sir Omicron to give him the orders.
“Kappa! This is Omicron! What’s yo-situation there, dude?” Sir Omicron shouted over the microphone.
“Minimal… actually, no casualties… complete annihilation of troops in the reservoir… and I still had enough time to beat the campaign mode on Silver Medal: the Great Divide. I say I have achieved all-time high score.” Sir Kappa said over his end of the communication.
“You are RIGHT!!! And guess what, dude? I got enough footage to make a documentary! You hear me? A documentary!!!”
“Sir Omicron,” Madam Upsilon commented frowning, “hush.”
“Ah, sorry, Madam,” Sir Omicron said, “I am just so EXCITED that we were able to finally return home! Homecoming party! You! Contact home and tell them to prep a homecoming party!!!” Sir Omicron said as he pointed at one of the Corporate Army. And as ridiculous as the order was, the Black Figurine obeyed, contacting Corporate HQ.
“Hush…” Madam Upsilon commented.
“You will never get away with this! How could Oscalantine stomp on the glorious revolution! You may have won the war, but you shall never win the –“
Gunshot.
“Hush.” Madam Upsilon commented.
“Huh? Upsilon, weren’t we supposed to keep the dude… you know… ALIVE?!” Sir Omicron said.
“Alive. Missed a shot. Just fainted.”
“Oh…”
“Now hush, everyone.” Madam Upsilon said with a finger on her mouth, making a shushing sound.
Just then, a transmitter of TriN network that was sitting on the desk started to buzz. There must have been a communication reach from somewhere. The voice soon consolidated into a readable message.
“Sir Omicron? This is Madam Alpha from –“
Gunshot.
“Hush.” Madam Upsilon commented.
“Upsilon, that was Alpha.” Omicron said.
Two gunshots.
“Please escort Madam to the other room. I am SO glad that this was over without any… erm… bloodshed.” Sir Zeta said. The two Black Figurines quickly escorted now unarmed Madam Upsilon to the other, more quiet room.
“Phew,” Sir Omicron said, putting away his own gun, “Glad that you made in time. Thought I needed to shoot her.”
“You have NO sense of calculative maneuvering.” Sir Zeta said. Sir Zeta was the one that managed to disarm Madam Upsilon, who was attempting to shoot Sir Omicron for speaking.
“Madam Upsilon makes a quick work of any assassination, but she is hard to control… and now my dear sister is waiting for my call. If you would excuse me…” Sir Zeta said as he left the room as quickly as he came.
“Who the fuck let HIM in?!” Sir Omicron said, “What happened to the security?!”
“Well, as you know, sir,” one of the Black Figurines said, “Sir Zeta must have calculated the exact interval when we were switching shifts.”
“Bah! Two freaks! That is just ruining my mood!” Sir Omicron said, “Whatever, just contact the National Army. Get them here and let us head on home!”
The operation was successful. Two reservoirs were secured extremely easily and without any damage being done to the reservoir. It did take way too long, however, for the 3,000 Corporate Army to be vacant in the Oscalantine at such a delicate time. Regardless, the several tons of crude oil were now able to be refined into being more of use.
The HLF high-command was put into detention, seeing as they were the only ones that actually survived the ordeal. Many of them were more or less fearful of the Corporate Army that somehow managed to break in and destroy them from inside out without being noticed. They are being questioned in terms of who egged them on and to see if there are roots deeper than decent behind this massive Hijiman revolt. However, many agree even within Oscalantine that Hijimans were indeed frustrated with anarchy after the disappearance of their royal family, so the interrogation probably will not last long.
As for Oscalantine, who have already declared northern portion of Hijima theirs, have been busy with reconstruction. There needs to be many talks, however, before the actual steps could be taken. No major plans for Oscalantine Hijima (OH) were set apart from the reconstruction of immediate settlement areas and oil industry. Rhombiom Corporation has already received their contracts and has been working around-the-clock to ensure that Oscalantine Hijima is back to its economic capacity. So far, repairing the roads has been the top priority. Roads have been, for the most part, left alone during the invasion to safe precious time and allow smooth transfer of supplies. However, many of the roads in Hijima has already been decayed from absence of government in the island, so there undoubtfully needs repairs to ensure that the vein of the nation is not left untreated. Rhombiom Corporation has, in short period of few months, paved much of the roads in use, which is mostly in the northern area of the OH. There are various plans to expand the roads and make certain that the supply routes will not be compromised. Railroads, which have also been equally neglected, are also being fixed. Rhombiom Corporation projects that by the end of the month, major supply routes will be repaired for major reconstruction projects in the cities and oil rigs. Other construction projects are being discussed, but as far as the immediate future is concerned, very little actions have been taken.
Not all, however, was happy. Due to severe offensive in the EEE Annex, there were certain shipments that were delayed. The attack on major port cities was especially devastating. Although this did not halt the shipment of oil, they were delayed, and Oscalantine was vexed. What vexed the companies more was the fact that one of the oil tanker, The SS Crude, was sank during the initial offensive of Rasvidi siege. Due to SS Crude’s destruction, Rhombiom Corporation lost approximately a billion Nexus Credits.
What pissed off the main head of Oscalantine, however, wasn’t the damage of their shipments. For awhile now, they knew that the collateral damage will arrive. What Oscalantine’s higher-ups were more or less vexed about was potential warning. Any kind of tip off about the information via TriN… or even a coded message to Oscalantine with few key words… like “attack today,” or “torp” would have allowed Oscalantine to know what was up. Even with a simple gesture of greeting… as Executor Nate always appreciated casual mails from different ambassadors across the world, would have sufficed, as the Executor would have known that any casual mail from a nation at war meant that they should be taking everything into consideration. This lack of commitment is precisely the reason why Oscalantine could not enter the war under EU’s banner.
Like all Nexus Inc officials, the Executor wished for Oscalantine to assist EU in this major war. If Executor was simply tipped a single sentence before this whole thing happened, there could have been time for Oscalantine to stop the media. However, once the cat was out of the bag, Executor could not betray the will of the people, who, majority of the lower class were and still are, supporting EEE and GWA. Defying the voice of the people so willingly will start a PV, or Population Vote, on his entire regime, and that particular matter would be very difficult to sort out.
This situation was no different. If Executor was notified just MOMENTS before the entire bombing occurred, he could have stopped the media, tipped the families off, and silently made this into a low mutter… a rumor that will be spreading over few extremist Christian group. However, that was not the case. The entire media was buzzing about this issue. In fact, even more people were voicing that they should be fighting the EU. Even Rhombiom Corporation, who has so far shown interest to help Nexus Inc maintain good relations with EU, has now been showing signs of reserve.
Executor Nate was pacing across his office, so nicknamed “the Oscal IO Pannel” or IOP for short. The Executor has all but dismissed the claims, paid off the family involved in the incident, and talked with the Rhombiom Corporation about adding the construction of new oil tanker for Rhombiom in the next budgeting of Oslose Foundation. It was all done. All the work that will go unappreciated. All the work that will not even be recognized.
Executor sat down on the desk, completely vexed and angered at the EU’s lack of support towards Oscalantine… and Nexus Inc especially. Why could they not see that they have been doing every damn political maneuver that we could think of in Oscalantine to prevent Oscalantine from going into direct war with EU. With a great distaste, the Executor reached back and clicked on the touch panel and stood up. As he whirled back to his chair, a computer popped up complete with laser keyboard. The Executor sat down, and started to write his letter to Rasvidi government.
Quote :
TO.: Chairman Vaino Nakashidze of Government of Rasvidi
FROM.: Executor Nathanial Kwon, CEO of Oscalantine and CEO of Nexus Incorporated.
SUBJECT.: No Subject
I find this news disheartening, chairman. The Elite Union’s unannounced actions have again and again thwarted my attempts to potentially join by your side in this war. Now I find myself having harder and harder time trying to keep order in my country to not go to war with EU, much less support the war efforts. When Rasvidi called for arms, we have responded with a swift action, despite the fact that this would sour Oscalantine’s relationship with its neighbors. Despite such losses in all fronts, we have managed to take over the land that we, although wanted, did not need. When you have requested to Oscalantine that there will be no action done towards Oscalantine, I have honored your word and retracted my navy from the high seas. And do keep in mind that I have been supplying your nation with goods that you have requested.
You know more than anyone else that Oscalantine relies on EEE for oil and agriculture. But we rely on nations of Elite Union to purchase our products. So naturally when push comes to shove, we shall aid our market, not our store. Oscalantine, as you know, can live without constant import for a good year without any shortage… a year would be more than enough to destroy our opposition and reconstruct. And then we STILL will have enough left over to plan yet another invasion. You know that in the heart, Oscalantine’s high-ranking officials truly respect your nation. We admire your revolution… we have studied it. We found so much in common with the revolutionary army… even our lack of airforces during the period of revolution, and our long legacy of naval superiority. I have personally enjoyed spending my vacation in the historical sites all over Rasvidi, like Novosibirsk and Kazan. Nexus Incorporated also has great respect for Rasvidi and her battles… we admire you, we respect you. Nexus Incorporated found courage to fight against USI in your epics of revolution. You were our mentors, our ancestors, and our example and future goal.
Therefore, we find… all THIS… all the actions committed by Rasvidi WITHOUT notifying us, who have supported and entered the war through your encouraging words, disappointing. We of Nexus Incorporated are besieged daily by the press and people to avenge our “comrad’s” deaths. I am sure that all of us working in politics under the banner of Nexus Incorporated has been “impeached” through population vote this last month. I personally came close to 30% approving my removal from office in my third vote. We are risking our neck to prevent Oscalantine from entering the war against our example and teacher, and THIS is how we get our response.
We do not ask you to repay the damage. We do not ask you to send us the entire plan. All we ask is to send us that there will be an attack. Tell us that you are attacking the annex. Just HOURS before your invasion begins. Tell us of your plans to destroy the harbor. If you fear interception, say simple words, like “Water” or “Buckets.” Or just send an empty message. Nothing written there… just a message. I know that from Rasvidi, nothing is of casual notice in such a warring stage. Please tell me ANYTHING in advance so I can stop the media from badmouthing our beloved teachers!
I grow tired… very tired… of all these Christian groups banging on my front doors. These extremist… Edesu Christian groups have been sending out messages across the Oscalantine to join the war efforts against EU. People are buying into it. I… am expecting yet another vote to impeach me out of my office tomorrow. I can only campaign so much. My advisors tell me that if there is one more uncontrolled media fest towards EU again, my disapproval rate will reach over 50%, and I will be removed from office. The removal of Nexus Inc from all offices, as Executor appoints majority of the office members in Executo-Judicary Branch, as well as Rhombiom Corporation coming into the office with more pro-GWA mindset, Oscalantine WILL join the war against EU, and the fight will not end peacefully.
Must I watch student battle against the teacher? I hope you will understand my delicate situation. You, out of ALL of EU should understand my situation. Please do not give these DAMN EDESU CHRISTIAN EXTREMEISTS what they want. Please… help me. Please help Nexus Incorporated. Please tell me when to suppress my media, or I am doomed.
For the Corporation, and Long live the Revolution,
[Maybe we should all take a break on posting on this thread until we finish the OOC planning thread. Kind of like a cease fire if you will.]
[I'll post since an agreement seems to be have been reached. Finally. To EEE, I am going to have to contest your numbers; a force of 400,000 in one city? These are all people that need to be fed, in addition to their families. The annex is mostly desert and especially in the south could only support limited agriculture. While you may have the total overall numbers, I find it unrealistic that 400,000 soldiers would be stationed in one city in any location, let alone a city that would never have access to substantial agriculture. The number of tanks is rather high, too; the only reason Rasvidi can afford such numbers (and Rasvidi would not have that many tanks in one city that wasn't expected to be invaded) is because we have a defense budget of $1.0 trillion, which I am sure EEE has never matched.]
Although I do apologize for pulling the trigger without informing you, even briefly, of the attack plans of the Elite Union I will say that these actions have been justified. While you are certainly working with the nations of the EU, and we will continue to do so as long as you desire such assistance, we cannot be entirely convinced of your allegiance or loyalty to the EU or it's cause. There always existed, from our perspective, the possibility that you were working with Edo Edi Essum in some way or another. Even if such an interaction was completely benign with no malicious intent to the EU, the possibility that you could inadvertently leak our plans to the GWA before we could execute them was enough to keep this information from your government.
As for your... difficulties in the political arena, you are indeed correct in assuming that Rasvidi has extensive experience in this issue. Indeed, propaganda and subliminal messaging are treated as a social science in Rasvidi and it is taught to most studying political science. We have developed the process quite studiously, and can therefore maintain support throughout conflicts even when it might not be tolerated well by the public. The duty of the government, in the opinion of Rasvidi, is to protect the people from being enchanted by our enemies and to protect them from their own often misplaced convictions.
We are willing to send political scientists to your nation to assist your administration in manipulating the media to your advantage. I emphasize the use of the term manipulation, because these things never involve fabrications or falsehoods. The science behind these methods will simply relay the facts in such a way that people will assume it says something positive or appealing about your administration, even if that may not be the case. We can use your enemy's words against them. However, we do want something in exchange for this service.
If our methods succeed and you remain in power, Rasvidi wants to be assured that Oscalantine will be loyal to the Elite Union. After all, if your administration does not fall, it will be because of the Elite Union. I assume this was already a condition, as pro-GWA politicians are who you are trying to keep down. Additionally, though, the government of Rasvidi would like to receive the loyalty of the Oscalantine government if we are to succeed. If we do our jobs and we find this is not the case, our political scientists are capable of creating... civil unrest within your nation. The last time such measures were taken, a centuries old dynasty collapsed in the blink of an eye to give rise to the United People's Republics.
This request will not be a one-way benefit, however. Rasvidi will defend Oscalantine in the event of any hostilities towards your nation, so long as that nation is not a member of the Elite Union. We are also willing to use our extensive military experience to train your forces. In return, you would be loyal to our government, and we ask that you give us priority access to your oil fields in Hijjma. Obviously the needs of your population will come first, but Rasvidi would like to have exclusive rights to excess Oscalantine oil. The increased effectiveness of your military as a result of our training, the potential infallibility of your government as a result of our political scientists, and the hefty political advantages of military support from Rasvidi and possibly the entire EU is worth far more then any profits that can be made from this oil. Indeed, we are better able to achieve these things then Oscalantine would be able to on it's own.
Together we can help establish yours as a nation envied the world over.
-----
Although half of the Edesu forces in Finix and a third of the forces in Salvador had been destroyed, the remaining opposition was still much more then Rasvidi had expected. The troops did have several advantages, however. For starters, the quick and sudden nature of the invasion meant that they had the element of surprise. The Edesu forces could not have prepared for or at least couldn't have expected this. In the chaos immediately following the missile strikes, the EU forces would have begun to show up, further taking the enemy off-guard.
The numbers were very much against the EU, however. While a significant portion of the enemy forces could be expected to be killed in the chaos and confusion, there would still be potentially unsurmountable resistance. Nevertheless, Rasvidi had many more missiles and soldiers to expend. In Salvadore, the forces retreated, realizing they had been beat, but the forces in Finix continued with the assault. There, the likelihood of success was relatively high; the city had been hit harder by the missiles, the enemy troops that survived were likely injured, and the enemy had no advance warning whatsoever of the attack. Additionally, the extensive experience the Rasvidi military had in urban warfare and guerrilla tactics meant that they had an advantage. Salvadore was a failure, at least for now, but Finix could easily be taken.
Elsewhere, however, negotiations began to indicate a cessation of hostilities in the near future. A deal had been struck between the GWA and EU, to be executed by the neutral third party of Bautizar. An immediate ceasefire would take place, and in exchange the Edesu government would agree to withdraw from Hijjma and pass administration of the territory to Bautizar. However, the negotiations were not final or even fully concluded and the possibility of continued conflict still existed. Still, further invasion plans and mobilization of the military were put on hold.
If the plan went through, Rasvidi would consider this a lukewarm success.
[This is going to be a short post.]
Progress had been made in international relations and treaties were no doubt going to be proposed at peace talks that were about to begin, all that remained was to sign the treaties. The troops that were preparing to leave Gracealona to reinforce the invasion force stood down. The remaining troops that had landed on the annex got back on their boats and returned to the ships still off the coast. The troop ships that still had 20,000 reserve troops on board and now the remaining invasion force returned to their stations about 100 miles off the coast where the rest of the naval force remained. The fighters returned to their carriers as well. Although all Gracealona's forces were out of EEE lands, waters and airspace, the full force remained on their ships in international waters about 100 miles off the coast. They would head back to Gracealona as soon as the treaties were signed but for now they remained as insurance. Nothing else though, they weren't aggressors, they wouldn't attack unless EEE suddenly went back on it's promise of treaties.
