Hijima Island Conflict - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hijima Island Conflict   Hijima Island Conflict - Page 3 EmptyFri Dec 17, 2010 2:00 am

[Hey, in poor countries it's easier to do things because you can pay your citizens in stuff like food. Or just threaten to kill them if they don't do it.]

[I'm going to post some stuff since I updated my military info. In total I have 8 million troops, 2 million of which are active. Considering how militarized my nation is, I am going to have to incorporate the military into my government/politics more then it is now. Maybe introduce a military-oriented political party.]

Rasvidi today announced the deployment of an additional 100,000 troops to the Rasvidi Islands to bolster the 250,000 strong force already present. Additionally, 25 Cruisers, 75 Destroyers, 50 Frigates, 200 Submarines, 500 Corvettes, 1,000 Bombers, 15,000 Combat Aircraft and 45,000 Tanks have been deployed to the islands. Troop movements have been reported moving into defensive positions along the Phanagorian Mountain Range in the Vaeringjar Republic. The mountains have been a historical stronghold against invasions to mainland Rasvidi, being difficult to maneuver and navigate safely, but being an easier task for the people of Vaeringjar who have lived in the mountains since prehistory.

Chairman Väinö Nakashidze and Defence Commissar Paulina Vaijärvi have both stated that the recent troop movements do not represent intended hostilities, although both have said the possibility was definitely a motivation. Additionally, the Chairman addressed the situation in Hijjma, calling on the Edo Edi Essum government to withdraw their forces and consider previous proposals made by Rasvidi to avoid a large-scale international conflict. The Chairman said that the welfare of the Hijjma natives is the government's main concern, and vowed to liberate them should Edo Edi Essum continue to oppress them.

Rumors throughout the country, fueled by government ad campaigns, indicate that a large portion of the Rasvidi public believes that Edo Edi Essum employs slave labour in it's colonies. Regardless of the veracity of such claims, peaceful protests have formed in Ulyanovsk protesting the use of slave labour by Edo Edi Essum. Some in the intellectual elite within Rasvidi have criticized what they call blatant manipulation of the public by the government of Rasvidi.

[[Meh, I really dunno what will happen... I'll just play along and get my land =)]]

Quote :

TO Defense Commissar Paulina Vaijärvi
FROM General Judiciary Jimmy Thomas Lee
SUBJECT Invasion of Hijima Island

Good Day, Commissar, I am General Judiciary of Oscalantine Military Manager of Army. I have been given full jurisdiction of the army movements within the Hijima Island Conflict, and I am in charge of both the National and Corporate Army stationed in Northern Hijima Island.

The Executor Nate has relayed your message of your future plans. I wished to inform you of what Oscalantine has been doing in Hijima Islands as well as what will be our future plans.

Currently, Oscalantine have been taking longer time than expected in landing our troops in Northern Hijima. Regardless, our troops have successfully landed in the island and is proceeding to destroy the HLF forces. Because Majority of the Hijima is of little concern to Oscalantine, we are planning on simply destroying the cities and rebuilding the island as we see fit. For that reason, one hundred more Maker01 has been deployed for swift infrastructure reconstruction of the area. As for more critical locations, our Corporate Army will bring swift news soon. In conclusion, our forces will be done with HLF and Northern Hijima by the time that the landing operations will begin.

Due to my nature of being Military Manager of Army, I do not have jurisdiction of naval affairs. Oscalantine National Army also does not have jurisdiction beyond the Northern Front of EEE-Oscal Agreement. Due to this delicate political nature, I am afraid that the Army cannot assist you in your landing or military actions within the Southern Hijima Island. I assume that the Executor has already read this message before relaying this information towards me, and so I believe that I have the liberty to say that Oscalantine Army cannot assist you in this mission.

However, we appreciate your concerns for our military plans, and I hope that our joint efforts to take Hijima Island will be successful.

In hopes that our armies will meet in a Glorious Combat,
Jim, For the Corporation.

Oscalantine’s troops have been streaming via Sector 2 and Sector 7 of the Oscalantine-controlled Hijima, Territory 5, into the island. All of the troops have safely landed with no casualties. In short, Oscalantine had approximately 1,500 men loss during the entire landing operation, which was good considering the landing operation. However, the expenses for the landing has been pretty devastating. Oscalantine Navy has poured in over two trillions Nexus Credits worth of ammunition in order for the landing to be success. This, coupled with manning massive Leviathan of Oscalantine Navy in full swing, has caused Oscalantine navy to start to run closer and closer to deficit, and Navy hated being in debt.

Fleet Admiral, therefore, has called the naval forces back. Apart from submarines, all of the Oscalantine navy has retreated to safe waters. Only 500 FoolKill, 200 FarAfar, and 15 FairyTale along with TheIncorporated Stealth Submarines are left operational to patrol the waters. Considering that Oscalantine navy normally has over 500 vessels patrolling the sea at any given time, this drastic decrease of ships even during times of war shows how much capital was poured in to save the lives of the army.

And the Army has been repaying the debts swiftly. Now with Britherian Main Battle Tank and Barnibas Artillery in the full force, Oscalantine has been taking land by the miles. Majority of the cities has been taken completely destroyed. Hijima Mainland Command has decided that in order to prevent losses of Oscalantine troops, Hijimans will either be deported to other islands or will be killed. Although Collaterial damage will be extremely high, HMC believes that this will prevent further losses of National Army’s losses due to guerilla warfare in the future.

Oscalantine has, therefore, started to announce to the entire Northern Hijima: report to Hijima Mainland Command and be deported temporarily to Oscalantine and its holdings, or be considered part of HLF. At first, there was no one there, thinking that the claim was simple bluffing. However, after the initial assault on one of the major cities in Hijima, Hijimans quickly changed their mind.

The city of Icanera was prosperous Hijiman city since the Hijiman’s reign. Once Hijima fell, the city fell to the hands of mercenaries, and have been supporting HLF ever since. The city had population of 200,000 civilians, which were controlled by 1,000 HLF soldiers. By the time of offensive, the number increased to 5,000 HLF soldiers and weapons. In order to counter this, Oscalantine has utilized 10,000 forces along with heavy firepower for this mission. The result was devastating. The city that was so prosperous was all but gone, with its skyscrapers completely leveled down to nothing. The losses on both sides were enormous, with Oscalantine losing more than 3,000 of their men. HLF forces were completely annihilated spare a few men that fled, and almost the entire civilian population was slaughtered in the entire conflict.

With that, the Hijimans that wished nothing to do with HLF decided to leave their homeland in exchange for their lives. Hijimans came on their own accords, but they will be provided for in the temporary shelters that Oscalantine has created in the neutral islands. They were very lenient in these temporary shelters, allowing freedom for Hijimans to do whatever they wished. Many Hijimans have left for various countries where their relatives were in, especially to Oscalantine, or they have found work to do for Oscalantine in exchange for frew credits to spend. More than 3 million civilians have been sent to temporary shelters in neutral islands, where they were further sent to Rhombiom Corporation to work or to their relatives in various countries. 10,000 still remained in the shelter to wait out the war.

With Hijimans out of the way, Oscalantine showed no mercy to those that remained. They leveled cities that did not surrender, and those that they did they deported to Rhombiom Corpoation for cheap labor. HLF was shown no mercy, and anyone with a gun on their hand was taken as HLF and was slaughtered. With Corporate Rule, Oscalantine justified and suppressed media coverage of the slaughter. It was estimated that over 200,000 soldiers were killed in the overall one-sided massacre.

HLF was in a horrible situation as well. Their numbers were dwindling, and their headquarter was leveled. In every installation they were pushed back by the superior military might of National Army. When the smoke cleared by the end of the week, Oscalantine has secured all but two installations of HLF, both of them protecting the major oil reservoir of Hijima Island.

Oscalantine has declared in public that the takeover of Nothern Hijima was a success. Oscalantine suffered approximately 12,000 military losses, with approximately 1,000 vehicles lost. HLF was all but gone, lost in the history. Northern Hijima was all but destroyed, save a few key locations. In the public announcement, Oscalantine stated that the territory will serve as agriculture district. All of the oil rigs were secured by the Corporate Army without single one blowing up, although five out of ten major rigs were damaged, and will need to be repaired before oil can be secured.

Oscalantine is now looking to the reservoirs, which is said to contain several tons of oil in each reservoir. The two locations are the only bastion of haven for HLF, and they have threatened to blow up the entire location if Oscalantine even takes a step towards the rig. In order to make sure that the location is secured as safely as possible, Oscalantine has sent 1,500 Corporate Army to each of the reservoirs. By the end of the week, these army would have wiped out the last HLF stronghold… with or without oil still intact.

[EEE will not do anything unless attacked. Ras and I have both beaten our chests, but EEE will not initiate a preemptive strike. We will remove invaders with all means necessary, but we are not going to conquer.]

[As for the lack of a post, what do you expect? I seriously doubt you want every nation to give daily reports regarding whether or not they were invaded. In case you do, here are the last 4 RP days.]

Day 150- Was not invaded. Normal government activity.
Day 151- Was not invaded. Normal government activity.
Day 152- Was not invaded. Normal government activity.
Day 153- Was not invaded. Normal government activity.
Day 154- Was not invaded. Normal government activity.

[Less of an invasion of the Rasvidi Isles, would EEE provoke Rasvidi in any conceivable manner? (Blowing up something, etc.) No, we would not. Rasvidi is a bigger nation; it is only logical for EEE to keep handing Rasvidi olive branches. So if Rasvidi does not plan on invading, the southern end of the Hijjman conflict will be less than thrilling.]

[There's a bigger problem at play now, depopulation. We have a big map with a small population. With so few nations and so much uncivilized land to conquer, there will be little tension. Why would Oscaalntine invade the Edesu homeland when half the map is ready for the taking? If we had more nations, there would be exponentially more friction and more RPing. I say we need a recruitment campaign. This brings me to my final questions, what is the Recruiter's password?]

Hijima Island Conflict - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hijima Island Conflict   Hijima Island Conflict - Page 3 EmptySat Dec 18, 2010 2:52 pm

Edo Edi Essum has fully prepared both Hijjma and the Annex for invasion. Thousands upon thousands of coastal batteries (artillery) have been readied for full-scale war. Furthermore, miles of concrete barricades have been created to defend the batteries. Millions of interceptor missiles, anti-air guns, anti-air missiles, anti-infantry lines, and anti-tank shells have been transported to Hijjma and the Annex.

Hijjma and the Annex have both been armed with LRBMs and SRBMs. It is rumored that, as a last resort, the Edesu military will horrendously sabotage oil production equipment. All planned Annexian air bases have been completed while Hijjma's air bases have been repaired and readied. Innumerable concrete barricades and heavy machine guns have been installed in cities to halt infantry advancements.

125 thousand of the soldiers stationed in Hijjma have been relocated in the Annex. Therefore, there are 250 thousand active military personnel and 2 million reserves in Hijjma, 200 thousand active military personnel and 2.1 million reserves in the Annex, and 117 thousand active military personnel and 4 million reserves in the Homeland.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Annex has been declared 100% secure (It has crime rates as low as the Homeland.); Hijjma remains at a disappointing 60% security (5/3 as bad). The entirety of Edo Edi Essum is nationalized; the private sector has been wholly abolished.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

The Ministry of the Church has released the following report regarding piety of the various ethnic groups of Edo Edi Essum.

Edesus: 100% attend mandatory Sunday Mass. 100% are Christian. 95% are dedicated Christians.
Rakaelians: 100% attend mandatory Sunday Mass. 97% are Christian. 80% are dedicated Christians.
Non-Southern Annexians: 99% attend mandatory Sunday Mass. 85% are Christian. 50% are dedicated Christians.
Southern Annexians: 80% attend mandatory Sunday Mass. 60% are Christian. 25% are dedicated Christians.
Hijjmans: 60% attend mandatory Sunday Mass. 20% are Christian. 5% are dedicated Christians.

[I will release estimates of my tanks and planes in a few hours, but first I would like to question Rasvidi's numbers.

15K fighter planes? WTF? Let's say you only use the cheapy EEE uses, the Sukhoi SU-35. That would cost $825 billion. Maybe you're a Eurofighter kind of guy, then it costs $1.5 trillion. Would you prefer F-22 Raptors, the best of the best? Then it costs $2.04 trillion. Where the fuck are you getting this kind of money for fighters? I could buy continents with your hypothetical plane budget.]

Hijima Island Conflict - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hijima Island Conflict   Hijima Island Conflict - Page 3 EmptySun Dec 19, 2010 1:03 am

[It's not like Rasvidi has bought these planes all at once. We are a military nation that has been as such for nearly 70 years; accordingly, we've churned out planes, tanks, you name it over that period of time. Some of our planes are old, some are brand new. The newer ones will tend to be more expensive, but since not every single plane is a recent construct, our $1 trillion budget can handle it. I should also point out that cost is a completely subjective thing; just because it costs a certain amount in EEE, or in real world nations, does not mean the same technology or objects will cost them same in another nation. Perfect example: the Chinese space agency operates at a fraction of NASA's budget but has still managed to send lunar probes and lunar orbiters to the moon as well as astronauts into space. Cost and value are subjective, determined mostly by what everything else costs in a nation and what people are willing to pay for it. In Rasvidi, not only do we have an intensely competitive economy driving down the cost of almost everything, we also have a frugal population that has always lived on a tight budget.

However, this is something that the Secretary of Culture should be mediating. I should point out these numbers have existed in my database for quite some time, without being contested.

I am posting my invasion now, but I will modify numbers if the SoC decides I have an unrealistically large number of planes.)

A small group of fighters screamed over the dry, sandy landscape of the Edesu southern annex. They were here in a recon capacity, searching over the landscape for settlements, outposts and military resistance. They had mostly found nothing but sand so far, however; indeed, the plot was dominated by an infamously harsh desert that few would willingly settle. But there had still been some outposts discovered. Military resistance was expected to be minimal here; no world leader had yet to even mention the southern annex in the current conflict. The surprise move would surely secure the oil fields for Rasvidi and it's allies.

Further south, an invasion force was making it's landfall in Finix. Dozens of fighters, bombers and destroyers arrived ahead of the main force to eliminate as much resistance in the city as possible. The destroyers launched artillery shells into the port, the fighters searched for and engaged enemy resistance, and the bombers pelted the city with their payloads and targeted any identified military installments. The civilian casualty rate was going to be high. As the fight continued, the main invasion force of 50,000 young men and women accompanied by hundreds of tanks made landfall on the beaches nearby, and began their approach to Finix.

Elsewhere, a second invasion force was heading north to Salvador. The initial destroyer/bomber/fighter combo was only starting to reach the city, but earlier it had been pelted with conventional missiles launched from the Rasvidi Islands. A similarly sized force as the one approaching Finix was expected to land in Salvador.

Even further north, along the coast of Hijjma, a third, much smaller force was making landfall. This force was not designed to make any significant gains on the island continent; instead, it was there to distract the Edesu forces. The intent was to draw Edesu attention to southern Hijjma during the invasion of the southern annex, as an invasion of Hijjma was the expected course of action anyways. Indeed, a volley of missiles had even been launched at the intended landing site to heighten these expectations. Those in command of the Rasvidi military hoped this would be enough to ensure a successful invasion.

And, of course, alongside the Rasvidi forces, would come waving the flags of Gracealona as it joined the fight. Hopefully.

-----

Headline news this hour, reports have been coming in that the situation in Hijjma has erupted into armed conflict. This was anticipated by most everyone, however what was not anticipated is the potential invasion of the Edesu southern annex. While these reports cannot be either confirmed nor denied at this time, there is strong evidence to support a joint Rasvidi-Gracealonan invasion of the southern annex. This unexpected move is likely to generate criticism from the international community, and it remains to be seen how the government of Oscalantine will respond.

The Chairman earlier today announced a declaration of war against Edo Edi Essum, stating his intent to liberate the people of Hijjma. If current reports are accurate, however, then it is possible that this pretext has not been entirely accurate. While feeling somewhat betrayed and manipulated, the Rasvidi public seems to be coming out in support of the move against what they see as an errant, corrupt, religious establishment that employs slave labour in it's annexes.

It has yet to be seen how Edo Edi Essum will respond, if they will defend the southern annex, thereby removing troops from Hijjma and weakening it's defences, or if it will try a land invasion against mainland Rasivid, which would surely meet heavy resistance once they reach Vaeringjar and the heavily fortified Phangorian Mountains. It has also yet to be seen how New Numair will respond in this conflict, considering it's military support and close relationship with Edo Edi Essum.

Hijima Island Conflict - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hijima Island Conflict   Hijima Island Conflict - Page 3 EmptySun Dec 19, 2010 2:23 am

President Carlton stood in front of the podium in the press room at the Presidential Estate. As he did the red lights on the news cameras set up at the back of the room lit up and reporters clicked on their voice recorders. The words on the TelePrompTer in front of him began to roll down. The words were familiar to him; they should be, for he had written them himself. This was something he prided in and made a point of: writing his own speeches. Most politicians had others write their speeches for them but the President felt like there was something wrong with speaking someone else's words as if they were his own and so had through his entire political career written his own speeches. He began to speak and millions across Gracealona turned towards their televisions tuned to various news networks all showing the presidents face.

"Good evening my fellow Gracealonians. This afternoon I stand before you following the passing of a declaration of war through congress. A war of declaration, on the communist nation of Edo Edi Essum. For far too long their aggressive and rapid expansions at the expense of their people have gone unchecked. For far too long we have stood by as the EEE people have been treated as resources for what EEE believes to be their "higher purpose". That is, converting peaceful natives of Tiberiam's unclaimed territories to Christianity and communism by way of threats with advanced weaponry. To this point major violence has been avoided as these natives have surrendered realizing that facing EEE in combat would mean the thoughtless and violent slaughter of their people. Although we have regrettably stood by and let this happen in the past, we can still prevent it from happening to more natives and liberate those already forced under EEEs reign. EEE propaganda has reported that these natives have supposedly embraced a rapid change in their way of life and converted to Christianity and communism with minimal protest. This shouldn't be believed for a second. Although it may be true these natives have stepped down and not fought for their freedom from EEEs terror, they are no doubt doing so only in the interest of self preservation. Not in content with their new supposedly improved way of life forced upon them as falsely reported by Edo Edi Essum.

In going to war to destroy EEEs oil fields in the southern annex, we will greatly damage their economy and therefore their ability to make war. Throughout recent years EEE has constantly been an aggressor on the international stage and has shown a constant disregard for the welfare of their people. This will stand no longer. We will end their dominance of the worlds oil reserves and destroy their ability to make war. This will stop their constant acts of aggression and insure security for Gracealona, the EU and all the nations of Tiberiam.

I offer EEE one final chance now. Surrender your lands in the former Kingdom of Hijjma to EU control peacefully and vacate all your forces and your southern annex will be left alone. Until then, our forces will join Rasvidi’s in landing in the Southern annex.”

[OOC: Well since EEE wouldn’t wait for me I’m going to take advantage of already knowing what he is going to do as his post takes place after this. His impatience is his loss in this instance.]

On the Rasvidi Islands all of the Gracealonian troops that had been living on the island boarded the ships they had come on that were still moored on the piers. Once boarded the ships headed out to sea. This wasn’t to difficult as nothing besides troops had been sent ashore and all the aircraft remained aboard the carriers and the weapons and landing craft remained aboard the ships as well. Cruisers and Destroyers soon began launching IRBMs that began striking Salvador and Finix. About 100 of these missiles were launched at each of the cities for a total of 200 of which the majority of targeted military targets and weaponry. Another few hit the power and water plants supplying the cities destroying their ability to generate power and pump water. The pipes of the cities would soon loose pressure and the lights flickered out. The pressure was so low in the cities pipes that the fire hydrants would be useless greatly damaging EEEs ability to do damage control from the barrage of weapons that were coming from both Gracealona and Rasvidi forces. Although not all of the missiles reached their targets due to EEE defenses this was expected and a large amount of damage would still be done to the two cities.

Now it was time to land in the damaged cities. A total of 125 fighters were launched from the carriers and flew top cover for the landing forces. It was known that there was a large fighter presence in the annex but the Gracealonian fighters combined with SAMs from troop ships and missile boats would help to minimize casualties. A landing force of around 30,000 men and women along with 100 tanks headed for the shores of Finix and a similar sized force headed for the beaches of Salvador. Elsewhere dwindling numbers of IRBMs began striking airfields throughout the annex. There were not near enough to completely destroy these airfields but targeting runways would make it so additional aircraft wouldn’t be able to take off as quickly. These missiles also targeted fuel reserves at the airfields. The aircraft obviously couldn’t fly without fuel in their tanks. Although only about 40% of the runways and fuel tanks were destroyed this would no doubt hinder the aircraft in the annex.

The remaining force of around 20,000 troops that had formerly been stationed on the Rasvidi Islands along with all the other ships sailed around 100 miles of the coast of the southern annex in constant motion.

PostSubject: Re: Hijima Island Conflict   Hijima Island Conflict - Page 3 EmptySun Dec 19, 2010 10:06 am

Unsurprisingly, the Edesu Senate reciprocated with a Declaration of War. 8.16 million reserves were readied for the worst.

~~~~~~~~~~
No one understood how the recon planes had managed to penetrate the Edesu defenses of the Annex. [Honestly, they would be shot down immediately. I'll let it pass, I guess.] Nonetheless, the fighters stationed in the center of the Annex quickly detected and eliminated the reconnaissance mission. Recon planes are slow.
~~~~~~~~~~

Edo Edi Essum knew this war would only get worse, much, much worse. Hence, Rasvidian and Gracealonan reinforcements needed to be snipped in the bud immediately. The Rasvidi Isles were a priceless base of operations. 1600 SRBMs would change this. Soon, the Isles would be a inhabitable wasteland, only natives to certain resilient insects. The short-range warheads traveled towards the Isles. Many would be shot down, but those which reached their targets would truly ruin the Isles. For the inevitable retaliation, EEE was prepared.

~~~~~~~~~~
Thousands of fighters had been stationed in the Annex. They obliterated the vanguard of the invasion, ready for more.
~~~~~~~~~~

[I will finish this later. Church time.]

[Actually recon planes are usually designed to be fast and difficult to detect. Basically just quietly swoop in, usually at heights where it would be hard to detect, and take a bunch of pictures or quick visual surveillance and relay the information. And then leave. Hopefully before anyone realized what happened.

And what happened to waiting for Grace?]

[[Guys, what happened to Isis's good old... Planning rule? Someone needs to plan these...

Oh and FYI for E, Recon planes usually fly high and fast. What you are thinking of is Radar Planes, which flies with support of fighters and serve as flying detectors. They are different in a way that Radar Planes are only present during massive military operations and Recon planes are usually used before the war. Common confusion, I don't blame you... and Ras should be nicer about explaining this...

XD. Ras went missile-happy last time, and now E goes missile-happy. What is up with so much missiles? Razz]]

[Okay there's my post. I know EEE will likely cry foul on me using the events in his post that happen after mine and countering them before they happen. However if he won't wait for me he can't honestly expect me to just ignore his post and leave my forces where they would be slaughtered. That's his loss.]

The Prime Minister was sitting in front of a TV camera, he was about to make a very important announcement on state television. The camera man showed him the thumbs up and he began to speak.

"Fellow citizens of the great nation of New Numair, we have seen news that Rasvidi is invading Edo Edi Essum. Earlier on today the Royal Parliament have agreed and sent a letter to the Royal Defense Chief and both the Regent and King. The letter announced that the Royal Parliament has agreed to declare war on Rasvidi for invading allied territory, the Royal Defense Chief, the Regent and the King have signed their names to the declaration and so have I. I would like to announce to all citizens that the NSF (National Security Force) have also been deployed everywhere inside New Numair. I would like to also announce that everyone in New Numair to find a safe place to hide, mainly a basement or go to a local NSF base and hide in the available bunkers there. so from now on I will make announcements on TV each week on how things are going. Now its time for me to sign off and say god bless the king, the regent and our glorious nation!!"

After the many Judical Republican reports over this area of conflict have been numerous and massive, The Judical Republic has called an emergency conference with the EU.

Hijima Island Conflict - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hijima Island Conflict   Hijima Island Conflict - Page 3 EmptyMon Dec 20, 2010 1:52 am

Corporate Rule had a fatal flaw in keeping the news in check: it could not stop any news network, let alone NNN, from releasing international news. Any new that did not contain details of the government of Oscalantine could be released. Naturally, NNN have gotten the news about EU’s invasion to EEE’s annex and have inflated it into a giant mess of a media fest. EU’s invasion to EEE annex was not well received, and especially because of the religious groups in Oscalantine. Despite Oscalantine being pro-business, it allowed for religious and civil freedom by large. This has caused huge rise to Christian group usually founded by EEE’s many preaching groups. With well over fifth of the country Christians following the doctrine like that of EEE, the public went ballistic over the issue, calling the government to side with EEE in the coming war.

Under the Corporate Rule, population vote is postponed. Therefore, the citizens cannot speak their mind during this time. However, there is one thing that the citizens of Oscalantine could do to get their leaders’ attention, and that was to sell the stock. If the stock price of Oscalantine falls, Oscalantine is asked by the member corporations to fix the mess, and Oscalantine will have to sit on the negotiation table with whoever is causing the stock prices to plummet. Christian groups have been voicing this power freely, stating that if Oscalantine sides with EU in this issue, they shall relinquish their citizenship by selling their stocks. They have already started to call the brokers to start the action, and the stock price of Oscalantine, just by this threat, has been showing slow halt in their rises.

In the other side of this argument, many of the Corporate Descent was calling for alliance and joining the ranks of EU. They, usually high-ranked businessmen, who have everything to gain with close ties with EU. They have more influence and probably owns far larger portion of the stock and the share that Christian group does, and thus they have been pressuring the government through connections that they have to prevent the alliance with EEE, and even go as far as convincing Rhombiom Corporation to start a Population vote of joining the EU in the Stockholder’s Council, as Population vote started by the Council is acceptable even during Corporate Rule as long as it isn’t pertaining to revision of the government seating.

With Oscalantine so divided, Executor frowned on the recent reports. The Executor was perfectly fine with invasion of Hijima Island, and was even planning on perhaps aiding the EU forces, as agreed upon by the TriN conversations that happened behind the scenes. However, Executor was completely baffled and somewhat angered by the situation of how EU never warned him about invasion of the annex. If he had known about the situation, he could have stopped the media before she blew, and Oscalantine could have lent support in the invasions. Alas, now with media swamping him, the Executor has no other choice than to work for what is best for the companies, not what is best for the foreign relations.

Executor Nate stood ready to give out another of his message. He wasn’t sure whether what he was doing was the most efficient decision. However, he knew that it will be the most effective. Indeed, it was difficult to merge the needs of the government with the needs of the company. They, right now, demanded two different things.

The press was waiting for him to make a speech. Nate took a deep breath.

“Here goes nothing.” Nate said as he entered the hall.

Executor’s Speech
Quote :

Good afternoon, ladies and gentleman of the press. For the Corporation!

For the Corporation

Thank you. You do not know what this phrase means for me. I am a representative of the companies, the arbiter of government and corporations. So far, I was able to make due and create a path that allows both sides to prosper. Alas, today is not one of these decisions. For the sake of not alienating both, I must upset both. I hope that everyone understands… that I am doing this for the greater good of Oscalantine.

But before I speak of such unpleasant topic, I have more cheerful news to give. I hereby declare that Oscalantine has successfully took over the northern Hijima. The territory, until it has been declared official by the international community, will be called “Oscalantine Hijima.” I declare that we are accepting all immigrations for Hijimans back to Oscalantine Hijima to their old homes. However, I must also add that much of the Oscalantine Hijima has been destroyed, with cities that will take years to rebuild, with exception of three or so cities that have been spared. There are still HLF remains, but much of the land is depopulated and destroyed. Oscalantine will make sure that what cities remain will be taken care of through our spare budget. The oil production from the rigs will resume starting immediately, although there are certain rigs that have been damaged and will need of repair.

With reconstruction well on its way, we encourage that all Hijimans currently exiled into other countries return to Hijima to serve as employees to government projects. There will also be specialized labors from three major departments will also be selected to go to Oscalantine Hijima to assist with construction. Our first priority would be to retake the oil fields, and soon after we shall assist in construction of decent employment in the area. Oscalantine will try our best to rebuild what we have destroyed, and give citizen’s treatment to Hijimans in the area.

Oscalantine military has also taken note of the influx of Hijiman population and have adjusted our military reserve’s sizes. We plane to execute our number surge by the end of next month, which will bolster our military to coup for the territories that we have gained.

Now, for the bad news: Oscalantine will stay neutral during the new war. Oscalantine has dubbed this conflict from “Hijima Island Conflict” to “Global War I,” and will take measures to ensure the safety of Oscalantine people. Oscalantine will continue good economic relationships with all our trade partners, and especially EEE. All our ports will open up as normal, and we will be accepting all goods. However, I would like to state that all immigration situations will be halted until the end of the conflict. No new Visas will be given to foreigners apart from tourist visa to prevent huge influx of refugees. Any visas current in the works will be granted, and all visas given are up for renewal if necessary.

We hope that this is favorable news to all our partners, and we hope that there will come quick resolution to this conflict very soon. Long live the Corporation, Long live the Corporatcy, Long live Oscalantine!

Oscalantine’s ports opened up, and trade has resumed. Oscalantine has been requesting the normal economic imports from the nations, and has not embargoed any nations in the conflict. Oscalantine still expects this week’s 10 tons of oil as well as 50 tons of agriculture from EEE, and in turn will be supplying EEE with the usual 10 million Nexus Credits in trade. Oscalantine has also re-opened up the trade of military goods, and have been actively trading arms. Oscalantine has also been trading their usual goods through EU countries as well, trading metals and other resources.

Oscalantine’s navy has finished repairing, although they still seek to stay within the confines in friendly water to make sure that they do not waste any more funds than necessary. The army has been brining order to the Oscalantine Hijima, making sure that the immigration procedure of Hijimans will be done swiftly. Experts estimate that approximately 2 million out of 3 million inhabitants previously occupied Hijima will return to their homeland. 10,000 Hijimans have already come to Hijima to reclaim their lands. The re-education of Oscalantine laws and regulations will be given to Hijimans. The current Hijimans, despite the new restriction in life, is happy that they are part of the citizens protected by the government once more, as months of anarchy have made them suffer greatly.

Oscalantine reported that the reservoir is safely isolated and watched, as last of HLF are in these two massive reservoirs containing tens of metric tons of oil. Corporate Army totaling 3,000 have went into the reservoirs to pacify the situation, but there are no words from them as of yet.

All in all, Oscalantine has started to work like nothing has happened. While it is true that Oscalantine has been guarding their cargo ships departing to and from Oscalantine more fiercely, they have all but made sure that the situation was staying status quo. Executor has given news that within the following week, he will nullify the Corporate Rule, and hereby closing the Oscalantine situation.

Hijima Island Conflict - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hijima Island Conflict   Hijima Island Conflict - Page 3 EmptyMon Dec 20, 2010 5:17 am

The Secretary of Queen Jeny was sleeping in her room in the Royal Palace when a knock from the Secretary of Defense disturbed her.

"What do you need?" the secretary said angrily to the Secretary of Defense.

"I need to see Her Majesty Queen Jeny! The World War II have begun!" the Secretary of Defense exclaimed.

"Uh, OK. You can go to her office now. If she gets angry because you come to her office without an appointment, just tell her that war thing you're saying." the Secretary said and went back to her sleep.

The Secretary of Defense walked too fast that he bumped with Secretary of Foreign Affairs.

"Oh, uh, Hi! How are you?" the Secretary of Defense asked the Secretary of Foreign Affairs in hope that the Secretary of Foreign Affairs will forget what happened.

"Get out of my way! I'm heading to the Queen and it's very urgent!"

"I'm heading there too! Let's go now"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Queen Jeny was playing a game on her computer when she heard a knock.

"Who is that?", the Queen asked.

"Secretary of Defense Jiann and Secretary of Foreign Affairs Douglas", the two secretaries replied in unison.

"Come in", the Queen replied and she shut down her computer

The two secretaries walked to her desk and sat on the chairs allotted for the visitors and guests of the Queen.

"What the matter?" the Queen asked.

"Uh, Your Majesty, We--", Secretary Jiann said but was interrupted by Secretary Douglas

"Your Majesty, my news is more important. Your Majesty, we are--"

"No, Your Majesty, listen to me first!" Secretary Jiann interrupted

"No, me first!"

"Your Majes--, ugh, let go of my throat!" Secretary Jiann shouted at Secretary Douglas

"STOP! Secretary Jiann, what is your news?" the Queen said, stopping the fight.

"Your Majesty, Rasvidi and Gracealona have declared war on our ally, Edu Edi Essum. We need to do something!" Secretary Jiann said.

"OMG! But why? And--" the Queen was interrupted by Secretary Douglas

"Your Majesty, that is why I am here. Here is the telegram from the Leader of Edu Edi Essum. Here is the letter, Your Majesty" Secretary Douglas said while handing a letter to the Queen.

The Queen opened the envelope and unfolded the letter that has the Official Seal of the Office of the Leader of EEE. This is the content of the letter:

Quote :

TO: Queen Jeny
From: Edu Edi Essum

Queen Jeny, my nation is being invaded by Rasvidi! We need every tanks, planes, ships, and soldiers you can send us! We need you to help us in this war!

Queen Jeny was shocked. After a few minuted, she said to Secretary Jiann, "I want you to send military aid to EEE."

"As you wish, Your Majesty" Secretary Jiann said

The Queen waved her hand as a sign that they are being dismissed, and the two secretaries went out of the room.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Secretary Jiann convened the War Committee. After some deliberations, the Secretary called for a press conference. Hours later, the press was present, and Secretary Jiann said, live in Television,
Quote :

"People of KingIsaac, We were shocked by the news that Rasvidi declared war on our ally, EEE. So, in accordance to the treaty signed by Her majesty Queen Jeny, we are declaring war against Rasvidi. Please build defense systems on your homes, buy guns and ammo, and if possible, build an underground secret room, 50 inches away from the ground."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

The OCTAGON, the Military headquarters of KingIsaac, were very busy. They have prepared the war strategy. They also already gave orders to send 2 battalions to EEE to help them. Each battalion has 30,000 soldiers, 10 doctors, 20 nurses, 2 engineers, 20 carpenters, and 500 officers, in terms of manpower. Each battalion has 1,000 tanks, 300 armored vehicles, 300 vehicles created by OCTAGON that has weapons that is as strong as nuclear bombs, 1 ship, and 50 planes created by OCTAGON.

They are now on their way to the EEE.
