| As far as I can tell, there is enough precious desert to share. Spheres of influence, anyone?
WE CAN HAVE OUR OWN SCRAMBLE FOR COLONIES!

| Oh, and I need a legend ASAP. I can only identify the blatantly obvious (gold, silver, lumber). Much of the map is a mystery to me.
Thanks | |

| When I finish placing all the resources, how do you guys want to claim land? Should we just stick with the plot system, or try something more flexible? | |

| Flexible. Cue E's typical avarice.
I always imagined Edes to be kind of like Russia. With a climate like France. And my convoluted political beliefs based loosely off of the Soviet system.
What I mean to say isCOLON Could Edes have an unusually large landmass? So far I have been the only person to show interest in the northern continent; may I have as much of it as possible, ideally all of it? Obviously there's RL precetant. Russia is huge, was communist, and has also always had limitless resources. The intrinsic (This is not hyperbole.) desire to expand and colonize is unique to the Russian peasant's mindset. And yet Russia remains relatively poor when compared to the world powers, despite its size in land and population.
Summary MAY I PLEASE HAVE THE NORTHERN CONTINENT?

| Not the entire thing, you ass.
Cast lots for everyone. (e.g. random number/ draw name out of hat kind of deal) Most fair way.

| I thought we could do it the same way as we did last time, starting with the oldest member and working our way down.
As with the northern continent thing, I think EEE is just joking but on the issue of Russia having "limitless resources" I would have to challenge that, especially since my native Canada has more of certain resources then Russia (such as oil). Though, Canada is richer then Russia so that makes sense, I guess.

| I endorse Ras's system. If we use that, it would be as follows.
Rasvidi Donkholme KingIsaac HESS Civa Oscalantine Atalanta? Blue Cromwell Followed by, if they return NX401 Grace Isis New Numair

| Whoot? Well, consider the extension of alliance and growth retracted. T~T
Plots? Hmmm... well, if we CAN be reasonable, I would like for the starting members (current members that are in Tiberiam atm) to start off with funky plots. However, afterwards, I would like to have a general setup of territories for newcomers... mainly to ensure that new people don't want to start with MASSIVE landmass or the likes.

| Um, no. I was on the original founding council, with Grace and NX. So I'm first, unless we're letting Ras go first because he's the map maker? | |

| Can't be proved? Look at the top of the forum.
Anyway, I could care less what order we go in. So, just go based off of E's list even though we'll probably have to skip over some people like KI.

| Donkholme is a founding member and was here like 3 months before me, he had to make a new account at some point for one reason or another.
He goes first. That will be how I assign it, no matter what anyone else says.

| Oh, I did not realize Donk had to create a new account. My bad.
Also, you know that one post I just had? Yeah, that never happened.

| I support Donk's claim. Random number gen for choosing who goes first in claims
But since Ras's is cartographer and he worked hard on it (and he knows how to make RP interesting...) how about letting him choose first and then let him pick the random numbers? That way, no one is challenging Ras saying that "oh you wanted to go first" and all that crap because Ras WAS first ^^.
Also, what about my idea guys? No plots, just choosing territories. It sounds more fun, and on the second thought... I think that even new commers will be perfectly fine with talking to Ras about choosing the map... and it seems more realistic anyways.

| I second Osc's comment in both his post and my censored one. Let's honor Ras with the first pick. He put a lot of work in on this map and deserves the spot he's had his eye on.
Randomization sounds pretty good. It has my support. Is Atalanta in on this new map?
Also, I think we've outgrown plots.

| Random numbering it is, and I will be random just like everybody else.
How do we go about randomly picking people?

| What I was thinking was something like "eenie meenie miny mo" and you pick a place on the map like that, and then draw someone's name out of a hat, and they get that spot. | |

| Assign everyone a random number. You can probably go based off of E's list. So, Rasvidi=1, Donk=2, etc.
