A Radical Notion Empty
PostSubject: A Radical Notion   A Radical Notion EmptySat Jan 29, 2011 11:44 am

You all know my economy dropped 7 economic categories for no particular reason months ago. I cannot recover from this situation unless I completely ruin my environment and labor rights. I do not like this scenario.

This means that even though my original nation is 9 times larger than my proxy, my proxy has over triple its wealth. I therefore have two unsustainable options. If I RP the old EEE I can't afford anything. If I RP the new EEE I have 0 manpower.

Here is my suggestion. Cap my population at precisely 100 million for easy calculation until Edesus eventually exceeds that number. I would then switch in Edesus and RP a nice little recovery.

The SoC can approve this. (I reread all the rules just for you.) Edesus currently had greater environmental protection and equal labor laws than/as EEE.

Without SoC approval, I will unable to both fund and staff my RPs.

Or... you can simply deal with the consequences and boost your economy the old fashioned way like everyone else does. Real nations don't get special treatment. You don't either. Say farewell to your pristine environment. You can't have your cake and eat it, too.

I went through my own economic lull just a week or two ago. How did I fix it? By destroying certain things that I didn't want to get rid of. Such is the way of things. Deal with it.

Your economic lull is a single category, Isis. Try fixing 7.

Obviously, were this to be implemented, I would RP a gradual recovery. My economy would be fully up and running by August 1st. Rubovs could be calculated with 2.78(X/183)^2. (X is days passed.)

Fixing 1. Fixing 7. Same process. Just takes time. Deal with it.

By your way of thinking, any time something happens that I don't like, I'll just have the SoC alter my stats to give me a boost.

Sounds good to me! Oh, Oooossccaaaalllll!!!! Isis needs a new pair of shoes, so if you wouldn't mind bumping my population and GDP by... say... oh, I dunno, another couple hundred million, that'd be just swell! *giddy!* Wee!!!

The man who got his entire gigantic nation moved to a different hemisphere is complaining about special SoC treatment. I detect zero irony in this scenario.

Actually. There is a difference. For zero stats were altered. If I were in a recession, it would still be occuring. I had both the means and the economy to make the move. Wink

I also don't whine and complain every time something bad happens to my nation. I deal with it. I don't go crying to the SoC to make things all better with his magic wand.

LIEK, OH EM GEE! OH NOESZ! MAH ENVIRONMENTZ!!!

I uncovered a NS game code error so severe that the admins fixed it. The admins wouldn't artificially revitalize my economy, but they did alter the game code. A RP recession/depression is reasonable, but I believe I'm entitled to a recovery. I am willing to wait 4 RP years for this recovery to occur.

Once again, Isis, I encourage you to read the link I posted above.

Alright, I'm back, and I guess it is time that I started saying something.

Let me make this clear: I did not put the econ edit law so that I can buff the economy of people that I care about. I put that law in place so that I can penalize people that seem to abuse the advantage of inconsequential nature of NS economy to Tiberiam RP. With that said, I am willing to edit any economy so that it fits the RP... whether it be up or down. So... I guess I have no problem adjusting your population and or even your GDP for the sake of the RP.

That's the point: ONLY IF RPED. You haven't posted a SINGLE economic recovery post in the national thread, you have never taken any country's offer of help (Nexus Inc did so ESPECIALLY FOR YOU... have you even recognized the post? Well, it is too late now, but that would've always helped), and you haven't posted a single roleplay post playing conservative.

In fact, you have been spending like CRAZY. Creating mines, starting missionary groups (okay, that probably isn't as bad, but you gotta admit, when your population is trying to convince other regions to your religion, that doesn't help with the GDP rise), and you have been still using military (erm... 1k is still military sent.) This is AFTER the Hijima conflict, btw.

If you TRUELY wish to recover your states enough that I would approve of it, I say that you better post some economic recovery posts... good ones, too. I won't take auto-recovery as an answer, and I want to see a good RP... and perhaps request help from other nations.

It is very sad that your nation had the econ destruction by NS, but I think it couldn't have came in a better time. EEE, you were spending like crazy and participating in one war after another.... it looked so much like Vatican during the Crusades. And I think we all know what happened after that, and why Pope is a figurehead of an insignificant speck of land. (while I do know the cultural power of Vatican, their economic and political power is slim to none)

I thought I needed NS category changes to RP economic changes. I will begin RP recovery immediately. Thank you.
