| I think NX put it bluntly and well: Let's have a law establishing it. I realize that EVERYONE had different ideas... and that everyone is concerned about the potential failure of the other... So... let's talk here and finalize this... so everyone can move on and do what they need to do. I actually took time to write a draft of the legislature that I wanted to send. Maybe we can start from there? - Quote :
OBSERVING expansions done without warrant, logical process, or reason,
CONCERNED that the future expansions would be just as shallow and unrelated to Roleplay as the previous expansions, and that there will be further degrading of Roleplay, boiling down to nothing but expansions and warfare, while leaving out the politics, which is crucial part of Roleplay;
NOTING that the region of Tiberiam is known for its Roleplays, and have a massive Roleplaying community,
RECOGNIZING that while expansions are a result of any of the methods and can be done using any type of methods that have all been proven by History of Earth,
ALSO RECOGNIZING that for the sake of realism and respect of private property,
however, FINDING that any further unjustified and illogical territory will detriment the fairness and realism of the Roleplay,
and RESPECTING that there are differing opinions to solve this phenomenon of unjust expansions;
THEREBY:
- DEFINING “claiming of territory” as a crucial and critical decision in the Roleplay, par with decisions of declaring war or initiating a nuclear strikes
- given the previous rule…
- ESTABLISHING a rule in RP forum that all and any changes to territories MUST be Roleplayed
- FURTHER ESTABLISHING a rule in RP forum that there needs to be realism with every claim that is made in the RP
- GRANTING AUTHORITY to Secretary of Culture to monitor the first two rules that all changes of territories must be Roleplayed and every claim in Roleplay needs realism
- PERMANIZING the above changes so that these are a necessity in the Roleplay regardless of situations
- ADDING requirement to the entrance of Roleplay stating that all Roleplayers requesting the territory must read or reread the rules
- ADVISING that rules of Roleplay be more Respected.

| I support what this legeslation is trying to address. However, I think it isn't specific enough. It deosn't really define what a "proper" roleplay is if you will. Different nations have different definitions in their minds of what a good roleplay is. We could run into trouble there. | |

| I really didn't want to define "proper" roleplay even if I could, since everyone has, like you have said, differing opinions.
Rather, I think we should place in "Realism" monitors in this bill as well. I think that should be one of the pieces that haven't been regarded... I'll start adding that now.

| Legislation revised. I have added "realism" portion of the bill. Hopefully this is alright. | |

| Hmm... I like the general idea, but this legislation is far from enforceable. | |

| I am obviously with an assumption that once legislation passes, the majority that is unable to speak until now on the basis of no rules will be able to file a formal complaint to the unrealistic claims as well as actions. And I'm also on the assumption that Secretary of Culture will be willing to contribute to realism as well as fairness of the RP with these added rules
Enforcement is indeed an issue... but I this legislation must at LEAST be on paper, so that people can read and be wary that it exists.
But thank you for your comment. I really hope this is enforced, but know that it is a hopeful dream.
