(OOC: lol. my defense budget is small right now, but my government budget(as a whole) is actually bigger than Rasvidi's.)

(OOC: Okay, how about we just settle with the islands being in ruin, but they have yet to be invaded, and we will decide their fate at the peace conference? I feel like we're dragging this out too much lol)

In Novosibirsk, the propaganda leaflets rained down on the streets like scattered snow. Some people picked up the papers and read them, and then made disgusted faces and crumpled them up. Others seemed less offended by their content, and some even kept the leaflets for themselves. However it was clear that the propaganda that the Rasvidi government employed in almost all levels of civilian society were proving their use now. For the past 60 years, the Rasvidi people had been coached to believe that their nation was the best, and that they should be willing to sacrifice their lives on a moment's notice to protect it. Obviously, some people resisted and were immune to such methods, but a large portion of the population was not, and even those the propaganda did not penetrate couldn't help but be intensely patriotic for their nation.

Still, there would be a small number of people who would be swayed and disillusioned by the propaganda, enough to keep the military on their toes. So the soldiers began to burn all leaflets they came across, as the soldiers received more intense brainwashing then the civilian population. A thin, ashy smog began to descend upon the city and cling to the streets as the acrid smoke from the burning pamphlets began to fill the air.

The soldiers continued to drive out the enemy, but occasionally a rifle would fail to operate or a grenade would detonate while on a soldier's belt. These were likely caused by civilians disillusioned by the leaflets, and employing sabotage tactics against Rasvidi forces that Rasvidi itself had coached the civilians to use against enemy invaders.

[Ah, yes. IR is communist, so your income tax actually is 100%. Your military is equivalent to 11/14 of US GDP. That is truly frightening.]

I assume we are all ready. I believe the peace talks deserve a separate thread.

In Novosibrisk,

Master Sgt Acris broke a window and ran into a office building with his unit. They were firing out the window as well having 25 other soliders run up the stairs in order to shoot the Rasvidi Forces. As they were running up the stars and went onto the 20th floor, there were something that they did not expect, Civilian Soldiers decdicated to the cause for the Republican Legion. They asked 2nd Cpl Sring if they could help in any way.
As instructed, 2nd Cpl Sring took them and made them go into the other building next door as to 'pretend to fire upon the Republican Legion and when the Rasvidi Forces get close enough, the Civilians would fire upon them and hopefully kill some of them. The two faces of evil for the Rasvidi soldiers.

The Republican Legion was now Holding firmly, they finally got to an Area of green space, a large park, where disbanded bunkers and barricades were set up in the streets, parks and buildings. The Republican Legion has now got a foothold.
