Colonial Rasvidi

In reaction to the expansion of Edo Edi Essum, Rasvidi has sent it's own contingency of colonists to the two islands south of Plot 1. Rasvidi has claimed that this is purely in the interests of securing the silk and rubber production available on the islands, however most agree that there is a more political motivation. Along with the colonists, the Rasvidi military is expected to dispatch a force of 500,000 reserve troops to occupy the islands and keep the local population safe. In addition to the troop deployment, Rasvidi has also dispatched 150 bombers, 500 fighter aircraft, and 50 corvettes.

The new colonies will be administered primarily from the larger of the two islands, and the colonial government will be headquartered in the city of New Ulyanovsk. The smaller island will operate the city of Peliyov.

The EEE Navy is reported to be continuously patrolling its border with the Rasvidian islands. Over 200 ships of all sizes (many extremely large), 330 thousand personnel, and 1270 aircraft patrol the southern border.

Edo: Give heed to your current population and the realistic number of troops that you can have. Given your RP population of 27.6 million, the most (giving you 10% of your population for being a small nation) you will have is 2.7 million troops in total. I will not tell what to do militarily, but would caution you to not over deploy for trivial reasons. Pay mind to your national budget, as well. A fleet of 600 ships + 7,600 aircraft is not entirely plausible for a $6 billion defense budget. Unless, of course, they were canoes and kites, in which case, I'll allow it out of morbid curiosity.)

[IR, I'm used to having a NS nation of 2.8 billion citizens (The Benevolent Unitary State of Lenyo). I want a RP population of 400 million, large but not ridiculous. Upon reaching 400 million, I will assume no population growth. I beg that the community of Tiberiam, for the sake of RPing, allow me this luxury.]

[EEE employs 2% of its population in its military. Now that is 5.52 million; later it will be 8 million. Could I please grow to a RP population of 400M?]

[Also, I wanty to assure IR that our navy's technology far exceeds the complexity of canoes and kites, as our Minister of the Navy is not completely insane.]

Even though I've probably lost all my credibility here, I'd like to make another point. I don't think any nation should get an exception to the rules we've established as far as RPs. I mean, if we grant one person an exception then we can't call them rules anymore, just guidelines. Some I'm gonna vote no on the 400 million pop. EEE. Nothing personal I just don't see a convincing argument here. I don't think you deserve special treatment just because you are used to it being one way somewhere else. You're here now.

I assume by KingIsaac, you mean EEE. Anyways, do we even have an official policy for population yet? When did the senate decide such a measure?

When they handed me control of the RP section. Call it an executive decision. We use the stats of the nation currently represented in Tiberiam. That's that. It's been a rule that has not been deviated from yet and I see no reason to start now.

Just let me have 400 million people. It's not like I'm going to go on an offensive, toppling nations. I like my borders as they are now. I like my resources as they are now: fertile farmland, mountains, and forest. And I really want hundreds of millions to build up a thriving nation over the next 25 years. I'm just going to focus on domestic duties.

Nor is it fair to boost your population by 400 million. If I were to do that, I'd have to cater to the demands of every other nation and I'm just not going to do that. So, no. A Chancellor can overrule me, however, so feel free to yell at them for a while. I'm not budging.

Edo, you have given no good reason whatsoever as to why you should be an exception, other then "I want to". There are countries in reality that have decent militaries with a population your size (such as Australia) so it's not like you are completely powerless.

Besides, 400 million is very large, larger then most nations in Tiberiam. That is completely unfair. The rules are there for a reason. Countries like Isis Rakael might be massive, but so are countries like China. Demanding to be a superpower "because I really, really want to" is not very appropriate.

I don't understand why you think you are entitled to this special treatment, as this is not the first time you have made such demands. I will say right now that nobody is going to be an exception to the rules, so if you disagree with the rules you can try to submit legislation to change this.

I apologize for this nonsense. I really wanted to have over 300 million people for no reason whatsoever. I incorrectly assumed you guys used NS's ridiculously large populations. (I have repeated annoyed the mods about that. Nations of 17 billion? Bullshit! All NS populations should be 10% their current size.) Looks like I will be eclipsed by everyone else.

I concede. (But I still want my arable land and forests.)

(Now that our region's population is 90% smaller than I had anticipated, a continent the size of Canada makes sense.)

All past RPs regarding EEE military numbers have been adjusted to comply with a recent epiphany regarding the size of EEE.

I want to reach 100M soon by Tiberiam standards....
