Medieval RP?

I refer to Isis Rakael as a region. Edes did not exist until the tenth century, but the entire region that became Edes had already become Christian. The same applies for Isis Rakael. The main differences are, of course, that we are separate nations and that while the Protestant Reformation began in IR, Edes was unaffected. (I assume IR is the heart of the PR because that's where most of the Prots are.)

Major historical movements are often not confined to a single nation. Global movements, such as Christianity and Protestantism, are certainly international. My international RPs are logical. They follow the historical spread of Christianity during and after the Roman Empire. And, frankly, since you're the only mostly Protestant nation, I don't think it's too far-fetched to honor IR as the birthplace of Protestantism.

Can we establish this medieval RP as a new subdivision in the RP section? Currently there are five: Soc, OOC, International, National, and Data. I think Medieval should get its own and be IC.

I am somehow against this because my PLOT 28 and my "modern" projects will be useless.

I am against this idea but if it goes through, we need to organize it much more.

I suggest a time period equivalent of about 800-1000 AD, which was around the middle of the middle ages. In Tiberiam's timeline I think there have been multiple periods like this, since the current calender counts about 5000 years since the development of major civilization in Terragon, however this does not speak for areas outside of the Terragon, even within Hiborea. I am under the assumption that civilization began elsewhere (possibly in Caspadius) and spread to Hiborea, but how that went about is lost to history.

So I'd say the development of civilization and society in Tiberiam is not only slower then on Earth, but different. We're in a modern age where the continents seem mostly uninhabited (Hiborea and Caspadius are the only two continents with any substantial development), whereas the Earth is thoroughly inhabited in a similar period of development.

We need to figure out a coherent timeline, perhaps even creating a brand new calender.

However I think this idea should be more about fleshing out Tiberiam's history then a solid or fully developed roleplay. I think we should stick with modern era and maybe add things to medieval when they are needed to explain a modern situation or development. Maybe rename it "Historical", and it could include roleplay threads from virtually any part of Tiberiam's history.

I like to assume in the modern RP that unclaimed plots are simply insignificant nations rather than primitive tribes. A third-world nation becoming a second-world or first-world nation makes sense. Jumping from nomads to 21st century cities does not.

Can I get SoC approval for this? My Norateos is mostly tribal, and my Annex was just desert nomads and coastal tribes, but there are still places in RL like that. For everyone else unclaimed, we should have third-world nations. More people to trade with. We still dominate, though.
